I want to give my sincerest thank you to all of the devs who did everything in their power to get the game into as good of a state as possible with this final update. I take solace in the knowledge that no matter how much time passes, there will be something fun to return to ❤️

by the way it’s okay to feel emotional about destiny ending. destiny wasn’t “just a game” it was home.

Things I would do if @PlayStation @Sony allowed me to lead a Destiny update team: -Dedicate a small team to begin the D1-to-PC port process -Unvault all DCV content (red war to forsaken) & package it as its own separate game -Create a D2 reprised content rotation by unvaulting & rotating all seasonal content (artifacts included) on a monthly cadence while ensuring holiday and seasonal in-game events remain available to players And I would lead these teams remotely for free while working my daily job. Don’t let one of the biggest gaming IPs in history go dark because of the past bad decisions of others.

At its best, content was a machine to create memories and friendships. No new content stings. This pain is about losing a place where so many memories were made. It stings not because of what it was, but the realization of what it won't be.

Just want to say thank you to all of you for trusting me to give you your builds. Its such a simple and seemingly inconsequential thing in the grand scheme of it all, but it gave me so much fulfillment and purpose alongside the distinct pleasure of being able to meet all of you.

Nah fuck this meme Destiny 2 was a great game. It had high highs and low lows but there will never be another game that scratches that itch quite like Destiny 2.

Maybe im just stupid but destiny 3 seems like such a clear and obvious choice and it infuriates me that whoever is calling the shots seems ok with letting the destiny IP just fade away into nothing
