@fuzzybinary ah, wait! scratch this. I think this is due to native syntax deprecation. Rewrite your code as @pragma('vm:external-name', 'SimplePrint') external void simplePrint();

@mraleph I'm guessing something changed / is changing in Dart 3.0 related to how native "top-level" functions are resolved? Is there a way to set a native resolved for top level functions in dart_api.h at the moment? github.com/fuzzybinary/da…

@mraleph Okay, looks like I may have been taking advantage of some lazy JITting which resolved natives late. Starting sometime in Dart 2.19 the code gets JITted earlier... I think? So it doesn't have a native resolver. Maybe a change in the dfe....

@mraleph Must have changed earlier than 2.19... all 'native' functions aren't calling the native function resolver anymore 😓

@konjak The instance can make a pretty big difference. But, I know it's not quite the same. It's just not terrible, which I think is an improvement?
