@paulpoint_ @unitygames I think it does, which is not bad, it was more the general theme in comments, the very mention of AI these days is like chum in the water.

@TanethGG @Pirat_Nation Can you explain the agenda you are referring to with regards Marathon, I just don't see it, please explain your thinking?
English

@Pirat_Nation Not exactly DoA like Highguard but never the less the triology will be completed soon.
The people have spoken and the numbers dont lie.
Either make great games with no virtue signaling agendas or watch this trend continue.

Former Square Enix executive Jacob Navok has said that Sony appears to have little faith in Bungie’s Marathon due to the very limited marketing push behind the game.
Navok wrote: “Sony owns a ton of digital real estate on the Playstation dashboards to push Marathon. It’s lack of marketing push to support the numbers speaks to the lack of faith from the platform holder.”
He added: “GAAS games don’t grow organically. The dirty secret is most of them grow through marketing and UA spend. Sony has left this one for dead.”
Marathon launched on March 5, 2026 and reached a peak of approximately 88,000 concurrent players on Steam at launch but has since declined sharply

@kimmonismus No, but they are working hard to keep you off the internet, monitor your movements and spending habits, and read everything that you might send to a friend or colleague as a private communication.

What I still don’t understand is why Europe seems to have so little ambition to play any meaningful role in the future.
There is no convincing strategy to solve the energy problem. There is no serious push to build out European data centers so AI training and inference can actually happen on this continent. There is no clear plan to support the emergence of globally relevant European tech companies.
I genuinely don’t get it.
Yes, the European Commission is now trying to soften parts of the EU AI Act. But that seems to be almost the only meaningful concession being made to address what companies actually need.
I’m open to criticism and different perspectives here. But at this point, I honestly struggle to see how European policymakers intend to tackle the big structural problems ahead.
While China is building dozens of nuclear reactors, the United States is also investing heavily in nuclear energy, solar capacity is booming, and China is rapidly scaling energy storage, Europe’s approach still feels erratic, vague, and fundamentally unserious.

@Slopathon @VGC_News Oh look, another freshly minted sock puppet, still warm from the account creation oven. Born last month like a premature “X” gremlin, squeezed out with one mission: “I must fling turds at Marathon.” … lol 😂
English

Bungie has claimed it has a narrative plan for Marathon that stretches "years" into the future.

@Slopathon @VGC_News Confused, please explain your theory? …

@Fuzzygoat @Pirat_Nation Are you retarded, who cares if there’s nothing left to play? I only care about the highest quality possible - either that or nothing

Warhorse Studios, creators of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, are facing backlash for using AI in their work.
The issue started when longtime translator Max Hejtmánek said he lost his job. He worked on English versions of dialogue, quests, item names, and marketing.
He said the studio replaced his role with AI to save money and work faster and people got upset
Warhorse has replied to the criticism and says it only uses AI in early steps of making the game and does not replace human workers with AI.
Leaders keep saying they are hiring new translators, calling them “actual humans” many times.
They promise to keep using real people for important creative tasks.

PlayStation is facing huge backlash over its new age check rules for UK users, some users say their console is almost unusable now
To comply with the Online Safety Act, Sony now requires players to prove their age using a face scan with Yoti, a government ID, or a phone number.
This is needed to use voice chat, party chats, messaging, broadcasting, and multiplayer features on PS5 and PS4 consoles.
Single-player games can still be played without checking, but social and chat features will be locked from June 2026.
Sony has had major data leaks before, and Yoti has been fined for data problems. Long-time players are asking why they must prove their age now.
Some UK adults do not want face scans saying this breaks consumer rights by removing features people already paid for.

@arsenalfan6666 @Pirat_Nation So no one under 18 should be allowed to talk to anyone over 18 online, does the same apply to IRL where the consequences are more severe?
English

@Fuzzygoat @Pirat_Nation I don't think kids should be talking to adults online that's a more than fair thing to say
English

@GBNEWS Hang on, is the “Extreme Right” not just a symptom of the Islamist threat? If they say the f*+k down there would be no far right.
English

@Goddess_Yshtola @arsenalfan6666 @Pirat_Nation Either parenting the kids or we all get parented by the state. Sad thing is we are now a couple of generations of clueless in, just wait until the gen-Xers retire in the next 10 years 😂 … then it’s really time to worry.
English

@arsenalfan6666 @Fuzzygoat @Pirat_Nation Ban kids from the internet then. Or parents need to get off their sorry asses and start parenting.
English

@mobkodie @arsenalfan6666 @Pirat_Nation I promise you there is absolutely no way on earth you’re going to stop a 15, 16, 17 year old playing the new GTA when it’s released.
English

@arsenalfan6666 @Fuzzygoat @Pirat_Nation True but parents be buying their kids rated M games for them to hop online like gta online I used to hear a lot of kids on there since ps3 days
English

Some don’t have id, some don’t want to use it and stay under the radar, some are worried the data will leak (which it always does). I refuse because it does not work, my 11 year old showed me 3 workarounds, and gave a working example to bypass one such set of restrictions. I have worked with computing for 30 years, and today I was presented with a solid counter by an 11 year old, never underestimate a well raised kid.
English

@Milan_nmg @Fuzzygoat @Pirat_Nation The only people concerned about this are the ones who refuse to upload identification for some reason
English

@DHP61951335 @arsenalfan6666 @Pirat_Nation Agreed, for a long time they have been trying to saw division between children, adults and the elderly, a society only works when all three groups respect each other and play to their mutual strengths.
English

@arsenalfan6666 @Fuzzygoat @Pirat_Nation And one believes that children should not have access to adults online, but some prefer to suck up to the government.
English

@KazukiKiryu87 @arsenalfan6666 @Pirat_Nation I guess it’s because “the state” thinks the parent are not up to the job. Let’s face it, especially in the UK, the government treat adults like kids anyways.
English

@arsenalfan6666 @Fuzzygoat @Pirat_Nation Then thats the job of the parents no? Why should everyone put up with this bullshit just because useless parents suck at monitoring their own kids.
English

I think that’s rubbish. In 99.999% of interactions between adults and children, nothing untoward is happening. If a six-year-old falls in a playground and a retired stranger helps dust her off and reassures her until her parents arrive, that’s the world we should want to live in. If your only goal is keeping adults and kids apart, you’re living in a very sad world. The overwhelming majority of these interactions are innocuous and well-meaning, and treating them as threats just to guard against rare predators is no way to live.
Where I live, kids of five or six play on the streets. They interact with adults, ask for help retrieving a ball, getting a bike repaired, small things. They’ve been raised well, they know to run or call for help if something feels off. The adults support the kids and the kids support the adults. If that sounds alien to you, your society is already dead and honestly, you should consider moving your family somewhere they’ll all be respected.
