@GeneralMCNews Ya know. I find this narrative curious. What exactly are they doing with the water to make it disappear? Is there no runoff? On its face this seems like just another boogie man.

I don’t understand why every airline in America — public and private — doesn’t have @Starlink. It’s incredible. You can make FaceTime calls with better reception anywhere in the world 35k feet up in air than most reception on ground. WiFi on planes is infuriatingly bad. Still.

@elonmusk @SawyerMerritt They will not lose passengers. Delta’s service is superior to most airlines. At worst, nothing will change for the Delta passengers short term. People aren’t going to switch to another airline just to have better internet.

I took 1.7 million photos over 6 days to catch this photo of a commercial jet in front of the sun. The moment it happened, TWO floating prominences were visible, making this not just my best aircraft transit photo, but one of the luckiest of my career! Videos of the transit 👇

@niccruzpatane I guess I’m one of the few owners who couldn’t care less about self driving. I enjoy the hell out of driving it myself and have zero interest in FSD

@AJamesMcCarthy I asked Grok if you were kidding. You really do take millions of photos to get one good result! That's incredible. Now I know why your photos are consistently excellent.

@News12NJ @GovSherrillNJ EV charging incentives which rewarded EV owners with lower rates if they charged at home overnight (off peak) have ended. People now will charge EVs at all hours of the day which will put strain on the grid. This needs to be revisited or it’s gonna be a long summer.

The NHTSA has just officially announced that the 2026 @Tesla Model Y is the first vehicle model to pass the agency’s new advanced driver assistance system tests. 2026 Tesla Model Y vehicles, manufactured on or after Nov. 12, 2025, successfully met the new criteria for four newly integrated advanced safety tests: • Pedestrian automatic emergency braking • Lane keeping assistance • Blind spot warning • Blind spot intervention “Today’s announcement marks a significant step forward in our efforts to provide consumers with the most comprehensive safety ratings ever,” said NHTSA Administrator Jonathan Morrison. “By successfully passing these new tests, the 2026 Tesla Model Y demonstrates the lifesaving potential of driver assistance technologies and sets a high bar for the industry. We hope to see many more manufacturers develop vehicles that can meet these requirements.”

SpaceX/xAI has just announced that it has signed an agreement with Anthropic to provide access to its Colossus 1 supercomputer. "Anthropic plans to use this additional compute to directly improve capacity for Claude Pro and Claude Max subscribers. As part of this agreement, Anthropic also expressed interest in partnering to develop multiple gigawatts of orbital AI compute capacity. The compute required to train and operate the next generation of these systems is outpacing what terrestrial power, land, and cooling can deliver on the timelines that matter. Built from the ground up in record time, Colossus delivers unprecedented scale for AI training, fine-tuning, inference, and high-performance computing workloads. Colossus 1 features over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs, including dense deployments of H100, H200, and next-generation GB200 accelerators. The cluster delivers extreme parallel performance for large language models, multimodal systems, scientific simulations, and generative AI at frontier scale. SpaceX is the only organization with the launch cadence, mass-to-orbit economics, and constellation operations experience to make orbital compute a near-term engineering program rather than a research concept. If engineering challenges can be overcome, space-based compute offers near-limitless sustainable power with less impact on Earth." I think this is smart for SpaceX/xAI, as it seems to have some excess capacity as Colossus, so why not make a some money on the side by renting that compute capacity out. I think we'll see some more similar partnerships soon.
