@seyikanbai @cuppymusic @ProsperUfo7253 @TemiOtedola You throwaway the ( comma ) after I’m. No wonder your pocket is in coma .

I still can’t believe I’m saying this I’m officially a Cowrywise ambassador.
Honestly, when I first applied through the app, I didn’t even know how real it was or if I even stood a chance. It felt like one of those “just try your luck” moments. I didn’t overthink
I just applied and moved on. Then boom… a few days later, I got an email saying I was selected out of 74,211 applicants. I was beyond excited. Like, actual shock and happiness mixed together.
What makes this even more special for me is that my journey with Cowrywise didn’t just start now it started from a real need.
Back in 2024, when I got my first apartment, I was honestly scared. The thought of how I was going to come up with rent for the next year stressed me out, especially because my salary at the time was quite small. But I told myself something had to change I had to figure it out.
So I started small.
I committed to saving ₦3,000 daily on Cowrywise. I set up automatic debit from November 2024 to October 2025, and I stayed consistent as much as I could. It wasn’t perfect some days I couldn’t top up but I kept going. By the end of it, I had saved about ₦700,000. I was so proud of myself. I even went a step further and saved extra for my birthday that December.
That experience changed my mindset about money completely.
This year, I started another round of saving not just for rent, but for my future. Because now I understand that saving isn’t just about surviving, it’s about building something for yourself.
If you’re someone who struggles to save using your regular bank account because the money is too easy to access, I genuinely recommend switching to Cowrywise. It helps you stay disciplined and intentional. It removes that temptation to spend impulsively and helps you stay focused on your goals.
Sometimes all you need is the right system and consistency.
And trust me, it adds up.

Being an Executive Assistant to the Head of School sounded like the perfect mix of structure, influence, and challenge. And to be fair, on paper, it is.
But here’s the part nobody really talks about…
What happens when your boss is so hands-on that there’s barely room for you to actually assist?
At first, I won’t lie I liked it. No pressure, no overwhelming workload, no constant urgency. Just calm, controlled tasks handed to me exactly how they should be done.
But over time, that calm started to feel… uncomfortable.
Because here’s the thing about being an EA: you’re not just there to “do tasks.” You’re there to anticipate needs, solve problems, create systems, and take things off your boss’s plate before they even ask.
Now imagine wanting to do all that but your boss won’t let go.
She’s very particular. Very precise. And while she does assign work, it’s always within tight boundaries. No room to think differently, no space to take initiative beyond what’s already defined.
And suddenly, you find yourself in a strange position:
✔️ You’re doing your job
❌ But not really growing in it
I’ve realized something about myself I like being challenged. I like figuring things out, improving processes, feeling like I’m contributing in a meaningful way.
So now I’m stuck in this quiet tension between:
“Enjoy the ease” and “I know I can do more.”
Am I the only one who’s felt like this in a role that looked perfect from the outside?
Or are there other EAs (and professionals in general) navigating bosses who don’t delegate, and trying to find purpose in a role that feels… underused?
Let’s talk.
