So, in the middle of the @uscoastguard Birthday party at Base LA/LB, I was called up to the microphone.
Then this happened
Through the years of helping those who serve, and with a big focus on the Coast Guard, my goal was to be there when they needed that helping hand.
@whiskeyhacker@uscoastguard That is an awesome honor, and well deserved! You align well with the ethos of the Chief -- "Results, not Excuses." All you need is a coffee cup with two years of coffee stains inside and you'll blend right in. :)

Less than two months until my #Kubernetes Attack & Defense class at Black Hat Las Vegas! Content updates include using Falco! Students get a laptop to keep w/ CTF VMs & K8S cluster to #hack, gathering flags, breaking their attacks. #abusing-and-protecting-kubernetes-linux-and-containers-30793" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">blackhat.com/us-23/training…… #BHUSA@BlackHatEvents
So today, my beloved daughter Jessica will get married to Greg, the love of her life. I’m the proud and thankful father of the bride this fine day. Got my tux and speech all ready. What a day we have planned!
@AlyssaM_InfoSec I'm sure you'll do great. I took my lessons in a rented Cessna, and the FAA examiner for my check ride turned out to be the OWNER of the plane. He must have liked the way I cared for his aircraft as I passed.
@BobKitten@billygoto@FizzgigFoofus@PeytonEngel My sister introduced me to Wordle. On her first puzzle, her first guess matched all 5 letters. For real. Tried to convince me it doesn't always go that easily. I can't see how to make it work because there's not enough letters to start with "What is...?"
@frank_buss@BobKitten Like BobCat, my first language was APL (1973). Took notes in undergraduate math class in APL notation; even wrote commercial APL code in late 1980s. I do miss the "one liners" -- managed to squeeze John Conway's game of life into 254 characters on line [1].
@BobKitten APL is cool, an extremely compact and versatile language most don't know. Looks like there is even a free version now, GNU APL. I started to learn a modern version of it, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J_(progra… but I'm not good with it, it is too different from most other languages I know.
Want some techniques that many Red Teams have been using to circumvent MFA protections on accounts? Yeah, even “unphishable” versions.
I’m sharing so that you can think about what’s coming, how you’ll do mitigations, etc. Its being seen in the wild more these days.
