The space in which Jews can live openly and confidently in Italy is narrowing. Many believe they are witnessing not the emergence of something new but the reappearance of something old, dressed in contemporary terms and justified by contemporary narratives. jpost.com/diaspora/antis…

Ukraine has one of the darkest track records when it comes to Jews, and it goes back a long time. It didn’t start with the Holocaust. In the 1600s, during the Cossack uprisings under Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Jewish communities were wiped out one after the other. Tens of thousands were slaughtered. For Jews in Eastern Europe, these events became part of how they understood their place in the world. But it didn’t stop there. Late 1800s into the early 1900s, pogrom after pogrom. It was not in just one city, or just one moment. Repeated waves of violence. Looting, killings, entire towns terrorized. Estimates run between 30,000 and 100,000 Jews murdered in those years, with some historians putting it even higher. When something repeats like that across decades, it’s not random anymore, it’s a pattern. Then the Holocaust, and Ukraine became one of the main killing grounds. Around 1.5 million Jews were murdered there. It wasn’t in gas chambers for the most part, but face to face. Forests, pits, ravines. The “Holocaust by bullets.” The most known example is Babi Yar, where over 33,000 Jews were shot in two days. Two days. That scale is hard to even process. And it wasn’t done by only the Germans. There was widespread local collaboration. Auxiliary police, nationalist groups, civilians helping identify Jews, round them up, sometimes taking part themselves. That fact gets people uncomfortable, but leaving it out doesn’t change what happened. After the war, it didn’t disappear. Under Soviet rule it was pushed under the rug, but it stayed there. After independence, it shows up in different forms. Polls over the years have found a meaningful percentage of people still buying into the same old ideas about Jews and power, influence, money. You also have the continued honoring of figures like Stepan Bandera. For many Ukrainians he’s a nationalist hero. For Jews and Poles, his movement is tied to collaboration and mass violence. Add to that far-right groups that use symbols and rhetoric straight out of the neo-Nazi playbook. They aren't a majority, but they exist, and they’re not exactly hiding. Now to be fair, Ukraine today is not Nazi Germany. They elected Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is Jewish. There are laws against antisemitism. You’re not seeing mass violence against Jews in the streets. But that doesn’t mean the deeper issue is gone. Attitudes don’t just vanish because laws change. And when you zoom out, it’s not just history or fringe groups. Ukraine has consistently voted against Israel in the UN, including after October 7. You can argue politics, alignments, or legacy voting blocs, but it still shows where things tend to land in practice. I traveled through Europe a few years ago, went to about 9 countries. Different places, different people, no issues. The one place where we got yelled at and even ran after a few times was Ukraine. That’s one experience, not a dataset. But at a certain point, when the history is this long and the signals keep lining up, it stops feeling like coincidence.

China owns the woke left. Russia owns the woke right. Iran/Qatar bridge the gap by using Palestinianism and anti-Israel sentiment. All the vectors matter. They all contribute to the violence. You have to map them all. Or you don’t get the full picture.

A now deleted lie about the shooter wearing an IDF shirt. It got millions of views and thousands of likes. The clue was that the ‘source’ is a raging antisemite. I wish these accounts would be punished for this.

@Mollyploofkins It doesn’t matter what he thinks or says. If he stepped a foot in Gaza, Hamas would kill him immediately because of his last name. That’s the “Jihad”. That’s the “intifada”. That’s Islamic supremacy terrorism.

Let’s be clear on something. If someone starts a war and then loses it, that’s not genocide. Furthermore, if the victim of this so-called genocide can make it end the second they want to, that too is not genocide. Hamas, with the support of the majority of Gaza (according to any and all polls) attacked Israel and lost. That’s not genocide. If any of Israel’s enemies put down their weapons and stop attacking Israel, there will be peace immediately. All Hamas had to do and has to do is lay down its weapons and the war ends. They don’t want to because they want to keep attacking Israel? When Israel retaliates, that’s not called genocide. And for all you morons saying Israel killed tens of thousands of children in Gaza, kindly answer me two questions: 1- What is your source for those numbers? Spoiler: I know the answer. It’s the Gaza health ministry. They’re the only source for Gaza numbers. Israel didn’t release any official numbers. Who do you think runs said ministry? If you guessed Hamas, you win 10 points. 2- If Israel killed all those tens of thousands of innocent people, since you know the exact numbers, tell me, how many terrorists did Israel kill? I ask because remember the Gaza health ministry? Yea, they don’t differentiate between civilian and terrorist. They also don’t differentiate between someone who died in war and someone who died from natural causes. In other words, when you go around claiming Israel committed genocide and killed tens of thousands of innocent people in Gaza, you are walking around quoting rapists and pedophiles who lie when they breathe. Israel has never started a war. Israel has also never lost a war. Oh, and one more thing. If Israel wanted to commit genocide in Gaza, if Israel wanted to kill every Gazan like these idiots claim, there would be no buildings standing and no Gazan breathing. Think. Use your brain. Even if you believe the ridiculous 70,000 number, divide that by the amount of bombs Israel dropped (assuming the math isn’t too hard for you.) and what you’ll get is the opposite of genocide. If Israel is so strong like you claim it is when you accuse Israel of retaliating disproportionately, then how did israel, according to Hamas’ own numbers not kill millions? Wanna know why? Because Israel never set out to commit anything even remotely resembling genocide. Israel never set out to flatten Gaza or kill all Gazans. Israel’s objectives for the war in Gaza are clear as are the objectives in Iran and Lebanon. Glad we cleared that up. Does this look like genocide to you?

🛑🛑To the Britons who suddenly rediscovered their courage after Javier Milei’s comments on the Falklands: two can play this game. You endlessly cite UN resolutions to insist that Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) are Palestinian, not Israeli. Yet the same United Nations has listed the Falkland Islands as a Non-Self-Governing Territory — an unresolved colonial question that demands direct negotiations between the United Kingdom and Argentina. All of a sudden, you don't care when the UN accuses you of colonisation. And, you dismiss its calls for talks with Argentina and instead boast about how you threw them out by military force in 1982, while demanding that Jews and Muslims in the Middle East negotiate with Hamas and the Ayatollahs!!!!!!!!!!!! So it’s all now about power, not international law? Let’s not forget: the Falklands sit 8,000 miles from Britain. The West Bank is literally on Jerusalem’s doorstep. And Argentina didn’t rape and murder 1,200 of your people — including women and children — in a single day. Selective principles, much? While I have your attention, a gentle suggestion to UK politicians and the British public: please “de-escalate” and “negotiate” with President Milei over the Falklands. After all, you constantly lecture Israel — and the world — about the urgent need for de-escalation and negotiations with the Ayatollahs, Hamas, Hezbollah, and every other terrorist outfit. Why the glaring double standard? Remember, as you keep telling us, only peaceful negotiations — never military occupation or force — can resolve the Falklands issue. Just follow the UN resolutions, as you so relentlessly demand of Israel. Good luck with that. P.S. Unlike the many dishonest voices who hold Israel to one standard while applying another to themselves, I am consistent. I believe the Falkland Islands are British. I also believe Judea and Samaria are Israeli. If anyone wants either territory badly enough… come and take it. I believe in military strength — openly, consistently, and without a shred of hypocrisy.
