What's the best software to use for cron job daily backups of open source repositories on github? Wondering if there is something better than git pull

I need a few more outlets at my desk…how reasonable is future proofing underneath?

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!! Seems like yesterday, that I was just in college playing in Final Four's ... Now im 32 living in LA with my own business, and coaching career, while I still pursue acting. I have worked extremly hard this year & im excited to see what 32 brings me.

@__vlqc For work I use github.com/gabrie30/ghorg to store all repos under ~/desktop/ghorg for reference and searching. Repos I’m actively working on go in ~/git

I wasn't worried about coronavirus until I subscribed to the sg government's SMS updates and started getting multiple daily reminders to stay calm and stop hoarding food 😬

To anyone that uses Heroku for deploying production level applications, what dyno type do you use? The Hobby and Standard dyno seem very similar with a few exceptions, but I’m wondering if Hobby would suffice for a production level application 🤔

@mjmalone @ianlivingstone You are not the only one! The terminology never made sense to me either 🤷‍♂️

@ianlivingstone In the context of a proxy though you’d own both sides. I always visualize the architecture with data flowing down, but proxy terminology calls the next hop the “upstream”. And with a river “upstream” is closer to the source (i.e., the client?). I don’t get the metaphor :/.

The terms “downstream” and “upstream” in the context of network infra & proxies confuses me. I always mix them up. Am I the only one?

As cert-manager reaches 4,000 stars on GitHub, I'm excited to share that @smallsteplabs have also built an experimental extension to issue certificates from their own CA! It's amazing to see other companies using cert-manager as a means to serve TLS in the Kubernetes ecosystem 🎉
