California will keep fighting on behalf of all our people including in the courts. If some of us can be snatched off the streets without a warrant, based only on suspicion or skin color, then none of us are safe. Authoritarian regimes begin by targeting people who are least able to defend themselves. But they do not stop there. Trump and his loyalists thrive on division because it allows them to take more power and exert even more control.

@ToddWitteles This is not a 50/50 thing. Overwhelmingly the grift is on the anti-vaccine side. But yes, irresponsible information of any kind should be combatted, especially when it has to do with public health

@gaijinity There are both anti-vax and vaccine-worship grifters on X, both of whom peddle irresponsible advice for engagement/attention. This particular grifter was of the latter variety.

How to be a left-wing X COVID engagement grifter, in 4 parts: 1) Post COVID scare stories claiming that young people are dying at a rapid rate in 2025. 2) Someone corrects you. 3) Quote-tweet them and double down on your BS. 4) Immediately block them so they can’t respond.

@gaijinity Yes. Unfortunately that’s exactly what this person was doing (somehow linking Trump to 2025 COVID), and then they followed with misinformation. Sadly there are many misinfo engagement grifters on X, both using left and right wing scare tactics to accomplish it.

@jackmcdade You'd be surprised at how much resistance training (aka weight training) can be helpful for someone in a situation similar to yours as well. Worth a shot, worst case you end up stronger. :)

I've learned a ton and have even more to learn going forward, but if you're going through anything similar (and I've met a bunch of people like me/us, trust me) — nothing would make me happier than to be able to help.

When unchecked and imbalances, these neurohormones cause anxiety (not the only source, but probably the most common one) and can hijack your normal responses to stress. This explained the racing heart, palpitations, panic attacks, and to at least some extent the lightheadedness.
