What better way to check that the Spinnaker Tower is structurally safe than by hanging me off the side of it! If you aren't in a position to donate, then please repost, share, and spread the word. fundraising.rnrmc.org.uk/s/385/404/t

I rarely post on here now, but I feel that the time and effort that Ollie Osborne put in, and the empathetic way he hosted deserves a massive thank you and his work, and my story still need to be heard. youtu.be/0LE_OOMre2k?si…

Today marks 8 years for me without a bet. As always I thank all those, far too many to mention, for the help and support to manage this x #GamblingCommunity

Another great opportunity to speak with the legend @christhrall. Talking about thoughts, feelings & emotions, and how not being able to talk about ACEs can play a part in trauma going untreated and causing issues through life in the military. #Recovery youtu.be/wiz0Hdrk-W0?fe…

We’re excited to announce our next Combat Stress Learning live, online event: ‘Gambling Harms: Battling the Odds’. In this event, attendees will gain valuable insight from Andy Gallie from Battling the Odds and Armed Forces Gambling Support Network, who has lived experience of serving in the Armed Forces and gambling harms. Andy will discuss why members of the Armed Forces may be at risk of gambling-related harms, the associated risks, how to identify harms, and what support is available. This live event will be held from 09:30-11:00 on 22 May, and is suitable for anyone working with and/or supporting the armed forces community. If you haven’t already registered for a fully funded place in our learning community, please use this link to sign up and gain access to online training and this thought-provoking, online panel discussion. 🔗learning.combatstress.org.uk #VeteransMentalHealth #MentalHealthTraining #HealthCareProfessionals

@dan_batemannn Cheers Dan. Both the Armed Forces and prison work is massively rewarding, and needed. Hope you're good.

A busy but very rewarding week again with the Armed Forces Gambling Support Network. From podcasts and the VE Day Concert, to meaningful peer support delivered within HMP and the wider CJS. A new week, and plenty more to come. #RecoveryPosse

It was an honour to not only be invited, but to also present at the @hmpps VICSO forum yesterday. Great feedback received, and comments such as 'I have worked in prisons for 28 years, and I have to say, that is possibly the most powerful presentation I've heard' #RecoveryPosse

Today I had the privilege of delivering the first of 4 weekly gambling peer mentor training sessions at HMP Guys Marsh, to create a self-sustaining group. It was something that worked for me, and seeing the group of 10 today, I think they will thrive. #RecoveryPosse

@gallieandy1 Well done mate inspirational work. I'm so thankful I didn't go to prison when gambling. Have been in to a few prisons in recent years to share my story.

Please give this powerful short film a watch, and let us know your thoughts in the comments section on YouTube. It is not just for those interested in the Armed Forces, it is intended to educate and raise awareness for all. youtu.be/V_4oBvuOlJc?fe…

Friday night at Exeter Cathedral was on another level. To be called a 'very dear friend' by the new High Sheriff of Devon, and to hear how I was responsible for her choosing gambling harms as her topic for the year was beyond words. #RecoveryPosse #InspireAndEmpower

Entering recovery, I wanted to achieve everything yesterday, change absolutely everything at once, & regain everything & everyone I had lost. What I needed was to accept the road was long and enjoy the journey along the way. One hour, step & day at a time. #RecoveryPosse #odaat

LIFE IS SHORT, SO ENJOY IT! Monday turns into Friday, and before we know it, the year is almost over. Time lost is my biggest regret. You Can keep the money but I would give anything to have the time. So why do we keep projecting and not living 'just for today' #RecoveryPosse
