Yesterday I was dining with my 2 closest friends. They started crypto in December 2022 under my “wing” and they fortunately achieved great performances. But they never witnessed an 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻. “𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁? 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱?” The altseason is one of the most exciting but complicated parts of the cycle. It's like fighting Isshin, the final and hardest boss of Sekiro, for those who have played it. The current pre-full bull period we’re experiencing has produced insane movements across the sector, with plenty of coins that printed 10/50 and also 100x. This can make us believe that the juiciest investments already departed, potentially raising doubts about more upside. But the biggest upside for altcoins has yet to begin, and that's why it's complicated. “𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁? 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱?” Yes. An altseason is a phenomenon that blows up our biggest expectations. A tornado of emotions and candles that seems to have no end, where the impossible becomes possible. I never make price predictions because in 2017 and 2021 I saw mid and small-caps completely sweeping away the most reasonable targets. Every day your alarm clock is given by a huge green dildo that makes you refresh your portfolio 50 times per day. Every day a new coin that seems primed to rule the world pops up in your feed, pushing you to chase it because otherwise, you'll miss out on turbo astronomical gains. (But almost everything will pump) Every day your desire to call your boss and tell him to f** off will eat you from the inside, potentially forcing you to make premature decisions. Every day your non-crypto friends will talk about crypto asking you for the “secret sauce” to make quick money and become rich. The additional difficulty level comes from the fact that these events are condensed in a short period of time (peak altseason lasts 1/2 months) giving you ZERO time to realize what is effectively happening. You'll be tempted to believe there is no end to the multipliers your portfolio will produce and that your coins will face no bear market because supported by their “strong fundamentals”. That moment is still not here and that's what creates excitement, especially by thinking that you can change your life with some good hits. But at the same time, the level of stress to which you'll be subjected will be devastating. Without a plan and a cold mind, you'll not survive. That's what I told them, yesterday.
