I've read the feedback and criticism on the All Tomorrows game on Reddit. I'll be redesigning the enemies to look more Qu & Horror like and I'm adding the Qu themselves as an enemy Here's a little peak at the Qu I may need to delay the game to give time for these changes

What are you working on today for your game? Foor me, another day of game dev begins and I'm so lucky to be doing this. Working on Twisted Tower today. Got my coffee, my heater blowing on my cold feet, my lighting is cozy and perfect in my office (new lamp on), and I've got some cool jazz going. I've got a cozy fireplace scene on the TV. Still working on UI stuff today. Doing a lot of testing to be sure all UI truly adapts with the input (game pad or keyboard). I also feel I may want game pad icons to be exactly as Steam wants them, just so "Steam Deck Supported" is perfect. Today I also plan on beginning outreach to YouTubers to get them to play the game when the demo launches...

@CollaborationG7 I would really like to but I need to actually make the single player game as for servers, I would just code a host system where one player is the "host" and his internet is responsible for getting connection to and from the other clients, so then devs dont need to run servers

@Namatnieks All Tomorrows is one of my favourite books, I like it that much I've literally been spending months making a game about it lol It's an interesting Sci-fi horror story about the future of humanity as they become capable of galactic and interstellar travel

@JDB_06FN @JonasTyroller Less work is needed for the same product, as some of it can be automated and AI assisted, BUT that makes less jobs BUT that also makes Indie studios be able to make so much more than ever before, which could make new jobs but i think it'll be an overall job loss than gain

Game dev full automation danger levels: 🟢AI can't play-test its own games, yet. 🟠It can play some of its own games and iterate autonomously. 🔴 It can play-test any game and draw reasonable conclusions about its design from that.

@JonasTyroller Until AI is literally sentient, it's not going to 100% replace us, it will massively cut jobs as more work can be done by less people, which is gonna suck for me who just spent 5 years in education to get a job :) but on the bright side, indies will be able to do so much more now

@xgigglypuff It won't replace people, just be a tool - for now, it'll eventually shrink the number of jobs I hate thinking about it so I just try to ignore it

For the people who actually work in tech and understand software development, does anyone think that AI will take over 99% of coding “fast”? Personally, I think it’ll happen eventually, but it won’t be in my lifetime. Maybe people will be replaced in my life—but not 99%. I often hear this opinion from people who don’t even know how to code. What are your all’s honest thoughts?

@OmegaSailBoi777 well not me - but I imagine it might be because most Japanese don't know fluent English, and AFAIK, All Tomorrows is only available in English and Thai, so most Japanese can't read the story
