This is a personal Twitter account, so I don't talk about tech a lot as I do it at my day job. If you have questions, though, feel free to engage and I will do my best to answer. Otherwise, this is mostly chatter about interests of mine, neat ideas, & other cool folks.

Indiana's statehouse just signed two bills that cannot survive being read in the same sentence. The first: public universities must now accept the Classic Learning Test for admissions. The CLT draws its questions from classical texts. Plato. Augustine. Cicero. Shakespeare. The argument is that these works represent the intellectual foundation of Western civilization and self-government. The second: public colleges must eliminate programs deemed to produce "low earning" graduates. No carve-out for humanities. No protection for the programs where students actually read and wrestle with those classical authors the first bill just elevated. Fort Wayne's Redeemer Classical School sent a representative to the statehouse to champion the CLT. Their students read Homer and Euclid. Their graduates will now test into universities that are legally required to accept their scores and simultaneously required to shut down the departments built around the tradition those scores are supposed to measure. You cannot champion the classics as a signal of intellectual seriousness and then eliminate the classrooms that make the ideas real. That is not education reform. That is a credential without a curriculum.

Opinion: Lawmakers voted to put Plato and Augustine on a college entrance exam — then voted to eliminate programs where students study Plato and Augustine. indystar.com/story/opinion/…

Access granted. You have found your way to the Marathon. The ice around Cryo Archive cracks and groans. It seems nothing can stop you from getting in. It will be interesting to see if you can get out. 10 AM PT, March 20, 2026

I really wish more Americans were aware that the USPS is the only service - the ONLY one - that can reach every home in the country. All other services rely on them for "last mile" deliveries that these other (more expensive!) services refuse (or can't) deliver to!

My teenager said she wants to watch an "old school horror movie" I suggested "House on Haunted Hill" with Vincent Price. She said "no, I was thinking something classic, like The Blair Witch Project" Anyway, I'm going to die of old age any day now

The United States Postal Service, USPS, doesn’t “lose” money. It costs money. It’s a public service. Don’t fall for the privatization propaganda.

Today is already a more productive day than most, Jelly server migrated to Linux, LM studios 4.7TB of LLM's downloaded (basically every Unholy, Derestricted, Heretic, NSFW, Abliterative, Uncensored and "this was trained on 4chan what could possibly go wrong" model) I'm going to have some funzies! local remote access and configuring of my 417TB of backup drives and methodology. (its grown a little) Added another 2 monitors to my gaming PC and one specifically to be remote access to my AI Machine for tweakies and setups. (not like it will affect the performance of my 5090. Redid all my gaming pc cooling switched the fans on the AIO to a different configuration and added another couple of fans to vent the head of the 5090 into the room. Redid my network corner of the Living room and de-spaghettified the wires. 95% of my house is now wired connected instead of wireless. Kitchen setup based around the 5090 laptop is complete and ready to go when summer comes and the sun hits my streaming room and makes it unusable for me during the day. (it will take 2-3 minutes and one unhook drive to move all my needed files to the kitchen) (back of house is cooler for the summer)

🚨Breaking: Someone patched GIMP to look and feel exactly like Adobe Photoshop. Same keyboard shortcuts. Same tool layout. Same everything. It's called PhotoGIMP and it's free. Here's exactly what it changes: → Every keyboard shortcut mapped to match Adobe's official Photoshop layout → Tools reorganized to match the Photoshop panel positions you already know → Canvas space maximized -- same default workspace as Photoshop → Custom splash screen and app icon so it feels like a real product → Pre-defined canvas templates matching Photoshop defaults → Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux -- installs in under a minute Here's the wildest part: Adobe Photoshop costs $600/year. GIMP is free. PhotoGIMP makes it feel like Photoshop. The only reason most designers don't switch is muscle memory every shortcut is in a different place and it feels wrong from the first click. This patch fixes that entirely. Ctrl+Z undo. Ctrl+J duplicate layer. Ctrl+T transform. All of it. Download a zip. Extract to your home folder. Done. 6.7K GitHub stars. Works with GIMP 3.0+. 100% Open Source. GPL-3.0 License. (Link in the comments)
