$SOFI just responded to the Muddy Waters short report. The company says the report is “factually inaccurate and misleading” and shows a fundamental misunderstanding of its financials and business model. SoFi also believes the report was designed to push the stock down so short sellers can profit. Management emphasized that SoFi is a highly regulated bank holding company, with financials prepared under GAAP and SEC rules and oversight from regulators like the Federal Reserve and OCC. Strong response from the company.
