So the point of scaling a small cash account as a demonstration is that this is doable for someone starting out. Many influencers just reload their accounts and gamble and hide behind oversized trades then post their wins. When you have affiliate money you can easily just wire more money and just over size trades. But what good is that to you unless you have affiliate money to keep wiring yourself money 😂 Most influencers couldn’t start w $300 and scale to $1000 in a week because you can’t oversize in an account this small.

If you read any trading posts on X over the weekend, you probably would have been very short biased. Today is a great illustration of trading price only and not predicting, and also why the failed breakdown is such a powerful setup. Shorts pile in early, then get squeezed out.

I have been in this game fpe for longer than I care to remember and that is the only way that will result in permanent skill..

There comes a point when you keep making the same mistake over and over, you finally ask yourself WHAT THE FUCK I AM DOING in that moment you either say this it, I give up or you build a system that prevents the downward spiral and caps the downside damage per day/week/month. few examples: setting hard loss limit, X amount of trades per day cap. Now if you can't respect those limits, ask yourself do you want to build a long term career from trading or you just treat trading like gambling?

@PeterLBrandt 3 or 4 trades per year makes sense for you, I mean you learned to trade when closing price of the market was delivered to the town square via pigeon carrier and read aloud two days later for 1 shilling and a baby goat. You had to move slowly.

Trading frequency - a commentary from a five decade veteran I follow about 40 global futures markets I enter each year figuring that I might three good signals in a given market over the course of 12 months -- maybe four. That's it. For a given market there will only be three or four price bars that I will consider suitable for taking a risk position. If I trade a market more than five times in a year I consider that I over-traded -- that my nose was too close to the chart. Then it is time to be conscious about pulling back from daily charts and re-focusing on weekly charts. As a rule, if I cannot see a pattern on weekly chart then it is 80% certain there is no trade for me. That's it -- three or four price bars that are important. The rest are noise.
