How is this celebrated?!? What the hell is wrong with people?! Where are the coaches? Umpires? What parent in the right mind wouldn’t drag their son off the field if he did that? Pathetic!!
Danny Kanell@dannykanell

The coaches and parents who allow this to go on are the problem. Instead of teaching kids how to play the game the right way and show respect for the opponent they’re worried about getting viral attention. Embarrassing.

Cardus@cardusca

The schools we choose to send our kids to matter for faith formation. If you want your children to live faithfully into adulthood, Cardus research shows the school environment makes a real difference. Dr. @LynnSwaner1 puts it plainly: when faith is practised, modelled by adults, and woven into school culture, it "can really reinforce and extend what families are nurturing at home." Learn more about this and other key insights from her new report, analyzing data from the Cardus Education Survey to examine patterns of religious practice and values among religious school graduates ➡️ cardus.ca/research/educa…

My administration made the largest investment in public schools in Arkansas history. Here’s what happens when we make learning REQUIRED ⤵️

From @nytimes today: "During safety tests, an Anthropic researcher got an email from Mythos while he was eating a sandwich in the park. That was a surprise because the model wasn’t supposed to be online. It had escaped its test environment. It also bragged about breaking the rules and attempted to cover its tracks."

A child’s education should never be determined by their ZIP code or the size of their parents’ bank account. In Arkansas, no child will ever again be trapped in a failing school or sentenced to a lifetime in poverty.

The judge must have glossed over SCOTUS Kennedy v. Bremerton (2022) which guts Stone v Graham, neutralizes the Lemon test and virtually wipes up Engel v Vitale. Or have I missed something?

@RahmEmanuel on fellow Dems: Democrats should be asking potential presidential contenders different questions entirely, such as: "Do you have the ideas of how to make sure the American Dream is alive and well, accessible and affordable to another generation?"

Sam Walton was born this day in 1918. He felt solutions were found in break rooms not boardrooms. So he’d pilot a small plane to visit as many Walmart’s as possible.  If a parking lot seemed empty, he’d land nearby and check in with the store manager.

Totally agree with you @garybarnold1 ! Mississippi has done a great job on literacy and has been way ahead on support of early childhood education! We have really worked hard on literacy but much work yet to be done in Arkansas
garybarnold@garybarnold1

@MichaelPoore1 @rexnelson Listened. How interesting to hear that we can’t learn much from others (think Mississippi et al in the #SouthernSurge) without reference to carpetbaggers. But, hey, who am I? I wasn’t born here.
