In @ChemEurJ we show the first X-ray structure of a commercial anthracene. It undergoes a reversible [4+4] #cycloaddition in the solid state via heat or @Mechanochem. Cycloadduct is highly solvatomorphic and can stabilize monomers. Congrats @GaryGeorge92! doi.org/10.1002/chem.2…
