I don't agree at all. Maybe I'm missing some context. But a good writer can convey a message without having to bloat a characters dialogue. Sonic is a good litmus test for this, because he's a man of action. Sonic can have good short dialogue and get his point across in the panel

I would never, not for a second, suggest the art doesn't matter. My whole point was in relation to this scene in particular. Of course art matters and action matters. We react to many of them on the stream and love how things look. But for this scene in particular, i don't know what else people were expecting. I love the dialogue here. Having just action with no character writing when we have 2 people meeting for the first time would be odd.

This is not a knock on this whatsoever.
The physics here and the way they play is cool stuff no doubt.
But I just think sonic could be so much more than this and there's gameplay mechanics and innovations people don't even consider cause they chase the classic control.

@garyondreams Honestly, with how much of a hot debate the "physics movement" is, it's honestly a blessing Sonic doesnt try to do this.
Sonic-inspired games should be the ones to carry the physics gameplay because it'll be much less of a major upset
