If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation.

BMW styling seems to be a continually contentious topic recently, but when were they at the height of their powers, do you reckon? For me, Alpina E31, but what's the zenith for you?

Today I wanted to share about the belief that there is some type of “perfect page” formula that must be used to rank highly in Google Search. There isn't, and no one should feel they must work to some type of mythical formula. It’s a belief dating back to even before Google was popular, as I wrote about when I was a journalist in 2000, in the article below. As was the case then, so it remains true now. There’s no perfect formula to follow….

@guardian Complete bollocks… poor journalism. Fidelity only had $20m of shares in Twitter in October 2022… You can’t base X’s entire value on the opinion of a company who owns less than 0.005% of it’s shares. FFS 🤦🏻‍♂️ @elonmusk

Allow me to reintroduce you to Santorini Dave, which by my calculations is driving several thousand hotel bookings per month as an affiliate. 📈 It's one of my favourite sites for how simple the design is (there's no logo on most pages) while being an incredibly valuable resource. The site currently reaches ~25 million readers per year; the majority of which Similarweb estimates to come to the site via Google search. I asked Dave for permission before tweeting this, but to be respectful I won't dive into backlinks, specific rankings, traffic trends and so on (and please don't in the replies). One unique thing about Dave's site is that he donates $5 to charity for every booking made through his affiliate links. To date he has made over $700,000 in donations.💰Just six months ago, that number was closer to $500,000. I have yet to make my way to Santorini but I've heard nothing but good things from people who followed his recommendations. I don't know about you but it ticks so many boxes for the kind of site I would love to find in my research: - Clean design - Tons of original images - Regularly updated - First-hand experience - Personal enough to add trust, but not overly so I could go on, but you can take a look for yourself at santorinidave.com. Just to be clear, this is no overnight success story and there was obviously a ton of work involved in getting to this point. In 2019, nine years into travel blogging, Dave was still testing new ideas to see what worked. Even as the site was generating millions of pageviews each month he viewed it as a side project, which may still be the case. Someone shared this with me about four years ago, and I like to spread the word now and then, so hope you find it useful as well.
