Boris was arguably the most famous politician when Mayor of London yet he travelled all over London on his bicycle with NO security and on the tube where he was usually inundated for selfies. Yet Khan immediately took a bomb proof carrier flanked by a back up and then a security guard. Absolutely no need for such an expensive security team. Signs of grandeur rather than necessity!

Wonder where the bomb proof land rovers , security detail and fire power were when Boris was Mayor of London !

@Moonlight_myths @_agneeess You were wrong. You should have paid for her friend as well. You said you went to dinner with your wife and her friend, and not that you ran into her while having dinner with your wife. These are 2 different scenarios. If you knew you would not pay, why take her to dinner
English

Yesterday I went to dinner with my wife and her friend.
When the bill came, I paid for myself and my wife.
Her friend paid for herself. No one said anything, it just happened naturally.
Later that day I found out they had an argument about it.
Her friend thought it was strange that I didn't cover her bill too.
I thought about it for a bit,

@FlyLoganair @Luke_W_Pearce Let me help you by not helping you
English

Good Afternoon Luke, thank you for getting in touch. I am very sorry to hear your luggage has been delayed. We do not have access here to the luggage tracking system but you can visit mybag.aero/baggage/#/pax/… to see update on your luggage and to find the direct contact information for the airport where you made the report and they can assist. ^Cg

I get things go wrong @FlyLoganair but having lost my bag flying from @manairport to @Exeter_Airport, not one of your contact numbers work and I’ve heard nothing since! Any help appreciated please 🙏 ✈️

I am deeply concerned by the @scott_mills story, following his sacking by @BBC.
Mills was allegedly investigated by the Metropolitan Police, with a file handed to the CPS who decided there was insufficient evidence to prosecute.
If an individual can be investigated, cleared of prosecution due to insufficient evidence, & still face professional ruin, then we are entering dangerous territory.
Institutions must be very careful not to substitute due process with reputational expediency. Justice cannot operate on suspicion alone, nor can fairness be preserved if allegations—untested in a court of law—are treated as proof.
We must ask ourselves: are we upholding justice, or quietly dismantling it?

@Xela67TFP He was clever, he fucked Lori Maddox when she was about 14 but in a state where it was legal

@ajsrugby Has to be the coaching group. Basic errors, good players looking very average and no game plan by the looks of things.

Mentally checking out of this season...
Those last phases just sum it. Shite season, shite squad depth, shite decision making.
Single minded team, sadly it's brain dead.
So much deadwood I hope we don't see next season unless it's the Prem Cup.

Sale Sharks 🦈@SaleSharksRugby
Just fallen short. Huge 80 minute battle. Many positives to take into next week.
English

@SaleSharksRugby Painful. Warr looked out of his depth. Forwards looked off the pace. Backs lack imagination. Coaches seem stumped. Worrying times. The narrative from the top needs to talk about what's going wrong rather than make fans feel guilty for saying what they see.

#lioli what's that? You need more space? Perfect, let me show you some new builds with box rooms 🫣😕🖕

Just spoke to @POTUS about our European allies’ unwillingness to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning, which benefits Europe far more than America. I have never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger given what’s at stake.
The arrogance of our allies to suggest that Iran with a nuclear weapon is of little concern and that military action to stop the ayatollah from acquiring a nuclear bomb is our problem not theirs is beyond offensive. The European approach to containing the ayatollah’s nuclear ambitions have proven to be a miserable failure.
The repercussions of providing little assistance to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning are going to be wide and deep for Europe and America.
I consider myself very forward-leaning on supporting alliances, however at a time of real testing like this, it makes me second guess the value of these alliances. I am certain I am not the only senator who feels this way.
