My daughter was not a celebrity. She was a person who had brain cancer. I’m trying to raise awareness of glioblastoma, the horrendous grade four brain tumour that took my daughter. Charlotte was 19 yrs 5 days old when she died. Her last birthday was the 18th of February 2016. She spent it in a coma. Charlotte had no bucket list. She didn't even have a big enough group of friends to enjoy one with. Before her diagnosis, Charlotte was a timid teenager diagnosed with crippling General Anxiety Disorder. Charlotte faced her cancer head on. It changed her completely. The immediacy of the situation shook off all of her previous inhibitions and anxieties. Charlotte campaigned vehemently, through her YouTube channel & national and local news. She was determined to give a voice to other young sufferers of cancer. Thank you for all your kind words & support yesterday. I had two bereavement sessions booked, which turned out to be a good thing. It meant I had to focus on their grief rather than my own. I’ll continue Charlotte’s journey in a day or so. A lot happened before she finally passed. charlottesbag.org
