This is not diplomatic dialogue, it is direct security coordination between the Lebanese Army and the Israeli Army. In practice, this opens the door for Israel to issue demands inside Lebanese territory, from surveillance to inspections, with the expectation that the Lebanese Army will execute them. This is a fundamental shift: from a national army defending its sovereignty to a force operating under the directives of its adversary. What is happening is clear: Israel’s war on Lebanon is being transformed into an internal Lebanese conflict that serves Israeli interests. It aims to pit the Lebanese Army against the resistance, dividing the country and shifting the fight inward, so Lebanese end up fighting each other instead of Israel.

💢 Israel killed Izz al-Din al-Haddad, the overall commander of Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades and the group’s leader in Gaza, in a strike on a residential building and vehicle in the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City on Friday evening. His wife and daughter were killed alongside him. At least 7 people were killed in total, including 3 children, and more than 50 wounded, including 20 children, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. Known as the “Ghost of al-Qassam” for his operational secrecy, al-Haddad joined Hamas at its founding in 1987 and rose to become its most senior military commander in Gaza, assuming the role after Israel killed his predecessor Mohammed Sinwar in May 2025. Israel had placed a $750,000 bounty on him in November 2023 for his role in the October 7 attack, and according to biographical accounts he survived at least six previous assassination attempts. The strike came despite the October ceasefire and was approved by Israel’s political echelon approximately ten days prior, Israel’s Ynet reported, with al-Haddad under continuous surveillance before the attack on his family home was carried out upon receiving sufficient certainty of his location. Since the October ceasefire was agreed to, Israel has killed around 900 people in Gaza according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Funeral services were held Saturday outside Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Iranian State TV reported that some European actors have entered negotiations with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps's (IRGC) Navy following the passage of East Asian vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. Reportedly, sailors aboard a European ship described the Navy's respect for and adherence to maritime navigation laws as excellent, adding that it has been informed of current coordination with the IRGC's Navy to ensure protection.
