@clement_molin Thanks for the update. Following. Serious question, do the Iranian people support these strikes on their government?

Running 24/7 without any human babysitters has been really hard We want robots operating at all times - even at 2am, on weekends, or on Christmas Day The robots run until their battery is low. When one heads to dock for recharging, a second robot receives a message to leave the dock and make room for the incoming robot. The first robot then autonomously docks. By the time the first robot is charging, the second is already back to work We never want downtime. If a robot has an issue, it goes to a triage area to dock while a replacement robot swaps in from another area. This could be due to a hardware or software issue The robots dock onto a wireless inductive charger built into their feet. They step onto a pad that charges them via coils in their feet at up to 2 kW. It takes about an hour to fully charge at roughly a 1C rate We’re now up and running across many different use cases like this. Crazy to see it

Rain or shine, the machines don’t sleep. Figure robots operate autonomously, 24/7

@NYMag I would love to see someone in an interview ask Trump what year was the Declaration of Independence signed, or how many Stars and Stripes are on the American flag. Ten bucks says he can’t answer one, if not both of those questions.

Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez’s appearance at the Munich Security Conference — one of the world’s premier foreign-policy events — seemed to be a step in the direction of higher office. It was supposed to be a triumphant foreign visit for Ocasio-Cortez, who is, on the national level, the best current hope for the American left, political columnist Ross Barkan writes. Though she acquitted herself well in a majority of the interviews and panels in Munich, one stumble stood out, writes Barkan. Questioned directly about whether the U.S. should send troops to defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion, Ocasio-Cortez stalled for about 20 seconds. “I think that, uh, this is such a, a — you know, I think that — this is a, um — this is of course, a, uh, a very long-standing, um, policy of the United States,” the congresswoman said. The stumble is “a warning for progressives,” writes Barkan. “It’s vital to approach certain foreign-policy and national-security issues, including China’s potential invasion of Taiwan, in a more sophisticated manner.” Read the full column: nymag.visitlink.me/UC9HNO

@JeremyNguyenPhD Gooseneck mic with Wispr Flow for dictation, foot pedal fo mic activation, 2 key mini keyboard for copy and paste, and I vibe coded an app that lets me remap the function buttons on my mouse to have “select all” and “enter” buttons under my thumb. Efficiency.

@JeremyNguyenPhD I use this movo gooseneck mic. It’s been great. Use Wispr Flow for dictation and it picks up everything perfectly when I code late night and talk quietly. Also consider a foot pedal for mic activation, keeps your hands free to keep vibing. a.co/d/cbMG8Nt

A HEARTFELT APOLOGY TO ALL FRIENDS AND ALLIES OF THE UNITED STATES. WE ARE CURRENTLY AT OUR WORST, BUT THIS TOO WILL PASS. I was born and raised in Germany, but I made the conscious decision to become an American. I’ve been here for 27 years now, paying my taxes, creating jobs, and, to be honest, I don’t recognize the once great nation I immigrated to anymore. Lately, Trump embarrassed America by publicly living out his inferiority complex to former President Obama by approvingly accepting the Nobel Peace Prize medal from Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, like Joseph Goebbels did in 1943 when he accepted the Nobel Prize medal from Norwegian novelist Knut Hamsun, which he gave to Goebbels as a symbolic gesture of admiration for Hitler and the Nazi regime. A stunning display of a psychological pathology. Trump now also wants Greenland, not for any practical reason, but for the psychological gratification of “ownership,” as he admitted to the New York Times. “I think that ownership gives you a thing that you can’t do, whether you’re talking about a lease or a treaty. Ownership gives you things and elements that you can’t get from just signing a document, that you can have a base.” […] ownership is… […]“psychologically important for me. Now, maybe another president would feel differently, but so far I’ve been right about everything.” The reality is that we can do whatever we want in Greenland, militarily for our security, secure raw material deals, and there’s no threat of Russia or China invading a NATO country. Trump wants Greenland purely for personal gratification, similar to his ballroom, and he’s willing to destroy NATO, the world’s most formidable defensive alliances, to achieve this. To our friends and allies, we acknowledge that we are not a reliable partner right now, and we understand that you cannot trust the United States. From a European perspective, it may seem like America is in a dire state, similar to seeing your brother arrive at your front door looking disheveled with a meth pipe and a knife. However, even at our worst, we are still better than the alternatives. Russia is a gas station masquerading as a country, led by the Don of all Dons, a murderous dictatorship that uses its military to kill thousands of innocent civilians in Ukraine. We are not that. China is a one-party authoritarian state that brutally censors its people, committing human rights violations such as the large-scale detention of Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims in “re-education” camps, and systematically suppressing Tibetan language, religion, and culture. We are not that either. I could go on, but you get the point. The reality is that, at least for now, you’ll have to deal with us as we are, not as you wish us to be. When you find a better United States, I might even join you in moving there. But until then, I’ll try to fix this one. And to spare you the suspense, yes, there will be a time soon when MAGA will be flushed down the drain of history. Then, we can repair most of the damage this orange ape has inflicted on the country and the world. However, rebuilding trust will take much longer. We understand that. After all, Trump’s dumb, uneducated and gullible voters didn’t disappear, and we’ve demonstrated that we can fall for a cheap fascist conman like Trump. On the other hand, by that time, we’ll have also shown that we can get ourselves out of the mess we’ve gotten ourselves into. That has to be worth something. So, don’t write us off. It’s never good to write off the United States. We’re the quintessential comeback kid, and we won’t disappoint this time either. Mark my words. #UnitedStates #EuropeanUnion #NATO #UN #UnitedNations #MAGA #Trump

@wongmjane I’m on the same machine as you and run. Open AI’s gpt-oss-20b. It’s fast, like the 4o model, but I don’t use it for demanding work.

I tried running a local model for coding agent on my M4 Max laptop through MLX but it’s not very fast (compared to the hosted models out there) Is this normal? What local models do y’all use (if at all)? Thanks!

@mikefutia Agree. Left is way more realistic, sure she’s not as pretty but she looks more human. blemishes on her skin, not smooth and perfect. Zoom in and look at the texture in the draw string of her hoodie, the canvas strap of the apron, the knobs on the cabinet, left much more realistic
