@gavinabraham @MySportsUpdate Correct! Which means that if Cooks doesn’t have possession after he goes to the ground(before the whistle blows), the ball is still in play!

@MySportsUpdate Let’s ask the class! If a player is to have control of the ball, even when they hit the ground, but the ball pops out at the end, what happens? Answer: it’s incomplete!

The Mariners lost. The #Royals are two games out of a playoff spot.

@Gamanshiyou @NRL The effort was exceptional. But it absolutely was not a try. It was awarded based on a frame when the ball was still in the air. There’s even a shadow underneath it. And the fact it went up as no try means it can’t be overturned based on the footage.

@NRL Ngl most impressive thing (on the field, nice Wahs crowd) was Fermor. Not many blokes nowadays would bust his butt, hurling himself on the whim on scoring a try 20 down with 5 to go. Awesome effort and ticka

@royalsreview This trend of placing someone of the injured list seems to happen a lot with underperforming Royals. I don’t really follow other teams. Do they do the same? Or is it some KC kindness thing rather than sending guys down or DFAing them?

After 101 years, my mom passed away yesterday. To the very end she was cheerful in demeanor and quick to express affection. “I love you madly,” she would say. We loved her madly too. May she be at peace in the Lord.

It is hard to believe that the Finn Russell failed attempt at the conversion of the last minute Scottish try was taken from the wrong place! It ought to have been taken closer to the 10 metre line but it was taken close to the touchline. Where was the TMO or touch judge? #ENGvSCO

@jeremy_gans That headline, though? Using the term “r*pist” based on this threshold? Are they just doing that because dead people can’t sue for defamation?

There is clearly a huge public interest in reporting on both allegations against Pell and the operation of the redress scheme. But it is less clear that using the scheme’s processes to report in this way is in the public interest.

“In the worst example I am aware of, the scheme’s decision-makers found in August last year that a young boy, James, was anally raped by Pell in a gymnasium. That finding was made 19 months after Pell’s death.”: themonthly.com.au/issue/2025/feb… ‘finding’ is a complex word here.

Hey @anne__rogers, did we ever hear what the story was with Jordan Lyles? Regardless of how poorly he performed for the #royals, it feels like there must have been something pretty dramatic that brought his time in KC to an end

Setting aside the electoral college landslide, because I know it’s inconvenient for you, the 6% swing in the popular vote from 2020 to 2024 is one of the largest in history.

I've been seeing a lot of people on the left and right talking about the 2024 election as if it was a landslide. So I made this chart to put things in context. Trump's win was one of the smallest in modern history.

@PillarCatholic @jdflynn Interesting story. Just a quick note that Sydney is definitely not Australia’s largest diocese — by any normal measure. It’s geographically likely the smallest and, by population, it’s probably third largest. It is where Australia’s cardinal has normally been Archbishop, though
