Keir Starmer is corrupting the legal system. Judges are being tampered with. These long sentences, longer than for more serious crimes, are out of kilter with anything before. This is dangerous territory. The Legal System now has a political master calling the shots over sentencing.

So the senior judiciary & CPS have been consulted about running 24 hr courts to deal with disorder taking place across the country. Has there been any engagement with defence lawyers over this proposal? It was chaotic & ill-conceived at the time of the London #riots.

Case from Nov 22. Ric to trial in Jul. CTL already extended. Ptr 3 days b4 trial. All parties ready. Trial adj due to no crt time. Adj to Jan 24. Client still RIC. Trial brought forward to 4 sept. Ptr, all are ready. No trial again as no crt time. @MnstryOfJustice get a grip!
