@Lazza_Homelife If they're that resilient they don't need to be protected by single use plastic film on the lenses.

@AntiWuCoalition I hear there was another fatality recently. Riding bikes on city streets is inherently dangerous. Bike lanes don’t change that. No one should be promoting bikes as an acceptable mode of transportation in the city.

The new crime fiction shop in Cambridge, due to open in about a fortnight, is shaping up nicely... You can come & buy some golden age detective novels and visit St Botolph's at the same time! Then go for tea and cake at Fitzbillies (all within a 20 seconds walk of each other)

@erikbryn Has anything changed in medical care? A fall in the rate of murders, could also or partly be a rise in survival rates.

What’s the best explanation for the rapidly falling murder rate in the US in the past 3 years after rising so much in the previous years?

@GeorgeWeeks2014 @CarsonYaha81337 @CyclingLawLDN I'm not convinced this is a blocker. There is still a requirement to hold insurance, too. So perhaps that could be linked instead/ as well. I'm not sure ANPR plus a database to be allowed to pump fuel would work, because of foreign plates, etc

Approximately 7million illegal motorists on UKs roads (one of no MOT, licence, VED, insurance etc). Authorities struggling to get on top of it. However today…

@CarsonYaha81337 @CyclingLawLDN I grew up in a village in rural Cumbria, this is relatable. But there should still be taxation proportional to emissions and the harm they bring. I don't know how to resolve the problem of affordability though. Real investment in public transport would be a fair start.

My friend is getting married to a dominatrix in July. I only know because I was one of her customers for years. I am surprised to be invited to say the least.

@MXOFO At the end of next month, I'm going by train from Trier (DE) to Aigle (CH). First class (big luggage), eight hours of travel, four changes, under €100. And I will arrive on time, because Switzerland.

Research has shown that stretching can reduce all-cause mortality. We now know stretching is key to slower aging and quality of life - all ages. Interesting: those who did flexibility exercises at least five times a week had a 20% lower risk of dying during the follow-up period than those who didn't stretch at all. That was slightly better than the risk reduction associated with high volumes of aerobic exercise and resistance training. Stretching for just 5 minutes every day can have a big impact on your health. Don't rush it, add it to a habit you already have and keep it simple! The Benefits of Stretching: 1. More Strength 2. Reduced Arterial Stiffness - Heart Health 3. Improved Performance 4. Joint Health 👉 Consistency is a key factor. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P… pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32520868/

Whether it’s this or Sunak’s helicopter fixation or Shapps using the RAF like a taxi service, or Truss booze and food bill, or Gove blagging a grace and favour pad, or the blurring of what counts as party and what counts as government they do seem to treat public money as though it is theirs

I get that David Cameron may need to charter a plane when travelling to multiple countries in one week, but that does not justify spending hundreds of thousands of pounds at taxpayers' expense to hire one of the most luxurious private jets on the market. #google_vignette" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

You can read all about my week being a Deliveroo rider in today’s Mail. Why many riders are in revolt and who’s ordering £4 billion worth of food every year. dailymail.co.uk/femail/article…

I spent a week as a Deliveroo rider. And learnt a lot. First up, Deliveroo likes to claim you should earn at least the minimum wage of £11.44 while working. Me? I worked for 22hrs 50mins, rode 105 miles, did 27 drop offs and earned £120.38. That works out at £5.28 an hour🧵

They just published the nutrition info... protein bars available on the HM course at 4.5, 6.9, 12.4 and 13.5km WTF??! What use are protein bars on a half marathon. The only carbs available are High5 drink, at each fuel station. Conspicuous absence of gels. Who dreamed this up?

Bought my entry for the @INGLuxembourg Night Marathon next month. Nearly €78!! That's more expensive than Paris, Berlin or London. WTF? There's not even any proper nutrition on the course. Unrealistic pricing.

How many more males like Bachman have got a Boston place on the women’s times (same as non-binary)? Loads of men who are faster than him will have missed out bc they don’t have a special identity. Why should men with special identities get this luxury? 👎😡
