Having to wait to publish is hard!! I pushed so hard on ads and getting the books some media coverage and now I slowed down and I feel like it’s never going to happen 😩

@AuthorKcfoster I wouldn’t cut it unless absolutely necessary. 130k words are fine. If it’s not “industry” accepted, who cares? It’s your art!

So, here's my latest dilemma. My first book comes in at 130,000 words, but whenever I seek advice from my beta readers who have read it, they beg me not to make cuts. Experienced writers I know say that it needs to be a shorter book to be accepted by the industry. Thoughts?
