Big debate as we were making this…in your corner of the world was this called: - Wembley - World Cup - Knockout - Cuppy - Something else that’s fundamentally wrong ?

@gbickers77 @BBCMOTD if a ball hits his stomach as it goes across his body without hitting his arm,how do you think the ball changes 90 degree direction and goes downwards landing at his feet

"The handball law is an absolute mess." 😡 Alan Shearer was not impressed by the time it took the match officials to disallow Ashley Barnes' late goal for Burnley.

@BBCSport VAR has ruined the fucking game in this country. It’s the single biggest turn off against the Premier League. If you have to take 5 minutes and 6 angles to try to find a way to prevent a goal, and it certainly wasn’t conclusive, then the game’s gone.

An incredible game at Turf Moor ends with Brentford taking all three points! 🐝 Ashley Barnes had a very late goal disallowed by VAR after his arm was judged to touch the ball ❌

@PhilBirdBFC As gutted as I was that night, I truly believe that loss contributed to us pushing on and getting promotion. And we’ve enjoyed Premier League money every season since. I really thought we’d beat them when we got it back level. Their fans were silent.

@StozUTB @LjGraham007 Middlesbrough has twice the population of Burnley, they’re 2nd in the league, and Burnley haven’t won a game in over 100 days 😂 we also sold out every game in your position…

@bodenknights It’s horrible to watch. I have missed multiple matches because I’ve found other things that are much more important that I “couldn’t get out of.” Roll on next season. This season is over, and has been for 3 months.

We are an absolute nothingness. We offer nothing in open play, set plays, can’t defend, play with zero tempo, don’t press… bottom of virtually every metric in the PL. Wouldn’t be surprised if we went on to finish bottom with a miserable number of points

The average attendance in the @EFL Championship at the weekend was 22,120. Forty years ago it was 5,984. Average losses in the Championship are £570,000 a week. Player sales and owner subsidies help clubs to survive. Football doesn’t have a selling seats problem, it has a cost control problem. (Thanks to John Sayers for the pic)

@KieranMaguire @EFL You forget how bad crowds got in mid 80s . One of the reasons given was too much football on TV. Think we can rule that one out now.

All the safe standing rails now installed in the Tech End upper tier ready for the next home game with Millwall. I still presume this will eventually become the ‘new’ away end? Credit: David Davies (Facebook)

BBC Nationwide March 1974 Wrexham’s great FA Cup run in 1974 had the bookies frightened. Includes rarely seen goals against Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough. #WxmAFC #FACup

Quite enjoyed this in the CFS personally. Got an atmosphere going which felt a lot more relaxed and upbeat than usual… Don’t think there’s anything wrong singing about past players mixed in with new, especially if it helps get others involved…

@OfficialVizeh If you are zoomed in they are three great results, but no win in 14 and Spurs there for the taking says that’s a poor result. We were on top when we scored the second, then decided sitting back was the best strategy.
