@TomasBogardus Got mine yesterday. I’m now halfway through. An hour ago I held the developmental pathway view, not anymore. I was fine thinking early embryos had no sex, but as you point out, given the authority of how biologists talk, that seems wrong. Thanks for helping me see this.

Dear philosophy of religion hive mind: I have to put together a syllabus proposal for a Philosophy of Religion course on *very, very short notice* this weekend! I'm looking for suggestions about what to teach. Could you drop recommendations below?

@gbspendlove I do love Buddhism, but I'd like some to connect non-monotheistic religious traditions to the traditional questions of the philosophy of religion. I don't want to turn it into a survey of religions or sociology of religion class.

If atheism is a lack of belief in god it’s neither true nor false; it’s just a statement of your own psychology, like lacking the belief that cookies and cream is the best ice cream. (Which is a true belief by the way.)
Your definition also makes rocks and quarks atheists.

No it doesn't, you knob-polishing puff-muppet. "Lack of belief" is only relevant to something capable of holding belief. Straw-manning implicit atheism with "rocks are atheists" is a tactic of mid-witted theists.

Atheism is simply the lack of belief in a God. It is not a belief system that says "men can give birth" or "skin tone determines life." I'm an atheist and don't believe either of those things. Woke nonsense ≠ atheism
