As I said before, this is the move for both this franchise and for him to make. Gives Bam an ACTUAL athletic point guard who fits his timeline, you get off having to extend Tyler or Norm, and you build around them.

Rivian already leases the R1 across 33 states + DC, and leasing has become a major driver of EV adoption. If the Heat lose Giannis to Minnesota -- without Miami's winning tradition, tax benefits, better climate or even its draft picks -- then it wasn't because the Heat didn't have picks to trade for a 1A. It will be because the Heat didn't already have the 1A and Giannis wants to co-star, not carry. That's not how we have typically viewed this.

Thinking out loud, but a Rozier/Fontecchio for Ja trade would create a new, larger TPE for MEM at $31.1M, the largest TPE ever. They could spend the rest of the deadline/next year taking in bad contracts (with assets added) to be ready to take a swing at the next guy they covet.
