@ariaupdated Did you have a chance to check on this? Also, I was very disappointed to miss you in NY recently, I somehow missed your post. Will you be back soon? And lastly, did you mention that you guys working on the Intune Drivers feature? So far, I’ve been pretty disappointed with it.

@gdcsp I don't think so but let me check. It could also be the state the update is in when you run the command (ex. downloaded but not installed vs. pending reboot)

@ariaupdated (2 of 2) But with 24H2 → 25H2, a normal reboot worked. I assumed that’s because 25H2 is an enablement package, which makes me wonder about 26H2, since I assume that won’t be EKB.

@ariaupdated (1 of 2) Do you mean you don’t think it’s due to the EKB, or not a design change? We upgraded 100s of PCs, they were all installed and pending reboot. In 23H2 → 24H2, they didn't install during our standard weekly reboot cadence (ended up using a registry workaround).

@ariaupdated Great, glad to hear that - I was concerned about our workflow as well. BTW, when upgrading from Win 11 23H2 to 24H2, shutdown.exe didn’t install the update, but it did when moving to 25H2. Is that a design change, or because 25H2 is an enablement package?

@gdcsp So shutdown.exe will still install updates if pending. We haven't made changes there as the compat risk is high for breaking existing OEM, IT admin, and power user scripts. The change is primarily to power menu, settings, lock screen power menu, etc.

@mniehaus @miketerrill @ariaupdated Since you were on the inside, can you help us mere mortals understand what goes on behind the scenes? Specifically, once something good finally gets implemented, what triggers someone to say, 'It’s finally working as it should—let’s start discussing how to change it again'?

@miketerrill @ariaupdated Giving me flashbacks to all the meetings that it took to get the dates in there, in a consistent format, in the first place.

@PJ_Marcum @miketerrill @ariaupdated Guilty as charged. Looks like the earliest update with the YYYY-MM date was 2017-05. (Sadly, I lost the battle to keep the word "Preview" out of the month's non-security update.)

@KiPos_info @ariaupdated @Bahusafoo @Microsoft @Windows And on the note of blocking updates, being able to block drivers that some algorithm decided that I "absolutely" need even though it's a bad driver or even just older than my existing driver (and don't tell to use some cab file)

@ariaupdated @Bahusafoo @Microsoft @Windows block specific updates. e.g. I do NOT want 2025-10 installed now. So I can only pause updating. but pause updating also affects stone age versions after fresh enrollment that should update up to 2025-09.

@ariaupdated @IntuneSuppTeam Setting the 'Feature update deferral period (days)' setting in Intune Update Rings to 0 is enough to get newer Feature Update or I need to use the Windows feature update policy?

@ariaupdated 😂 We could develop an IT board game. You landed on "Deploy an unscheduled change", roll again to determine the day of week you deployed on, if Friday, go back 8 spaces Lucky you had an "Emergency Change Card" you were able to play to reduce the odds of having access revoked.

@IntuneSuppTeam Did you get any other reports of Intune not being able to add any assignments in Apps/Configurations profiles/Scrips (those are the places that I tested)?

it always takes you back to your chat list (instead of staying in the chat that you were in middle of reading)? It's so annoying!! I'm on Android WhatsApp Beta v2.23.25.18

@WABetaInfo Did you notice or did anyone else complain about the fact that in recent versions of WhatsApp Beta on Android no matter which screen you're in (in a group, 1to1 etc) if you go to another app (or even just click on the app switcher to see other apps)

@bdam555 @ariaupdated If I understand your question correctly, you can set the AH start and end times in Intune and that prevents the user from changing the AH

@ariaupdated Is there an option to lock AH to a specific range and prevent the user from altering that setting? #ConfigMgr had an AH concept in the form of 'Business Hours'. It was user-driven and controlled though and the admin couldn't enforce it.

#FunFact You can kind of think of #MaintenanceWindows == to the time outside of #ActiveHours with respect to install and restart for updates. ex. maintenance window of 12am - 6am == active hours of 6am - 12am **noting we limit active hours to max 18 hours at the moment

@IntuneSuppTeam @david_dm123 @IntuneSuppTeam Our issue is not related to a delay, it's consistent on every one of our Enrolled PCs, they show only a few of our Managed Apps!!! Argh!!! Also, "1/2" indicates that there's another tweet coming, did you forget to actually post it?

@IntuneSuppTeam @gdcsp Hey @IntuneSuppTeam, that's not the problem @gdcsp described. You already got information about it. Steps to reproduce: Open a Device --> Managed Apps --> Switch the User-Selection --> All or one view is empty
