Personally I find more freedom using public transport, walking, taxis etc than with a car. But it’s just a different culture - each to their own!

Unfortunstely in the states the bars are cery strict about underage people coming in so thats why the tailgating is a way better alternative Tailgating is awesome though. Cookouts, drinks and music. Cheaper then pregaming at a bar (in the US that is)

Don’t rub his nose in it, he’s poor, doesn’t have a car, Gas in Slovakia is $7.46 per gallon. Average take-home pay is around $1200/month (which is a little less than my monthly live music/bar budget) so he is surviving on roughly $16K/yr. Don’t blame him, he just can’t imagine the wealth that even poor Americans work with. In America, Federal poverty level is $15K, in most northeast cities it’s $50-60K. It’s unimaginable to him how nearly everyone has a car instead of depending on poverty transport (train/bus). That’s why Europeans are so confused by America it is just unimaginable from their context. It’s like somebody from Sudan saying “how can you get so fat only eating a small handful of fav beans & a slice of camel each day?” It’s unimaginable to them that nearly everyone except for homeless level poverty have cars to drive to the games.
