We had to say goodbye to our best pal today. His big, beautiful heart finally gave up. Our hearts are very, very broken. Rufus Sunshine Wolfgang Turnbull Tew Baranco, dog of many lives and much joy. A one-in-a-million guy 💔

Cisgender men don’t have to pretend to be women to abuse anyone. They already do every single day, and that has nothing to do with trans people. Trans inclusion is vital to making trans people safe, who also suffer violence at the hands of cisgender men at alarming rates.

A thing that bothers me about the "writing is a passion" discourse is that a lot of writers write because they come from long-silenced marginalized groups. Writing can be passion, but it can also be survival, resistance, protest, history preserving, culture bearing.

A FedEx carrier rolled up when I was feeding my crow pals. At first I was a little embarrassed, but he asked "what are you giving them", I responded "cat treats", he replied "oh they like dog treats too", AND THEN HE REACHED INTO HIS POCKET AND PULLED OUT A FISTFUL OF DOG TREATS.

More on ADHD and boredom. A quote that I think explains it so well... "Adults with ADHD are always looking for things that are new or stimulating because when they are interested in something, the executive functions of the brain click into gear and the brain works well."

A lot of ADHD'ers think in terms of associations, jumping from tangent to tangent, rather than straight, logical lines. This fundamentally changes so many things, and note taking is just one of them. Methods of notetaking that work for non-ADHD'ers may not work as well for us
