I'm going to leave it for half time and see if there's a solution I can see for the comms dropping out. We have a wired connection, but it's dropping out at irregular intervals. We have tech support on it (and yes, I have tried switching it off and on again) I'm so sorry! #askwxm

@The_JamesJordan I can’t comment on fire, as I thought they could. Are they not covered by the army? Police have powers civilians don’t have, and no other service has the same powers so can not be covered in the same way the other services can, in principle be. Armed forces have medics and fire

The multi agency response is still ongoing to the weather related major incident in Cumbria. CFRS have been working through the night rescuing people from their cars trapped in deep snow. Please do not travel unless necessary as many roads are still affected with snow and ice.
