I’m 24, from India & my Dad’s getting old. I sold off my laptop as my last resort to arrange money to buy some 5k accounts. Here’s my story. This post will be long but relatable to every indian kid chasing his dream of trading even after constant failure & It should give you some reality check. My dad’s a retired worker & he sacrificed his whole life working to have ends meet. Even after his retirement, he used his little pension to run the house not until recently. I’ve always had this self hatred & sadness that I couldn’t provide any help even after being such a grownup & still having to see my parents suffer to pay bills. I’d be crying in my room silently wondering if thing trading thing will ever work out? Am I wasting my parents dream of me getting a decent job & provide some help. I’ve even had thoughts of ending my life too multiple times. I’d run around from one strategy to another hoping this would be one that would turn my life around. Then came a point in my life where I had nothing left & down to my last $500 which I saved up from door-dashing & freelancing. I told myself that If I lose this - I’ll end this life. Because I had already left studying & trading was the only thing that I pursued & dreamt to do while I was sleeping or awake. They say - “when you’re at the bottom - the only way to go is up” And that’s exactly what happened - After countless of nights of staring at the charts on my mobile. Because I sold off my laptop to arrange money to get me some funded accounts. I finally passed a single 5K account among 4 accounts. And life took a U-turn from that. I reached a payout of $500. And reinvested into this 25K account of @fundingpips that I have & still hold dear to my heart. Now I help my parents around with every other bill that I can. I pay off the electricity, the gas, the phone & internet bills, medical bills, take them out for dinners at great places every weekend, spoil my mum with as many sarees she wants,while my Dad saves up his money for retirement trips with his old buddies every month. You can do a lot from a 5K or a 10K account. Specially for any third world country like India, it’s enough to live a decent life & help your parents around with the bills atleast. Please take this thing seriously. Trading can change your life. Start being accountable for your actions & mistakes. Your mum & dad deserves so much more than this regular peasant life my brodas. They are rooting for you!
