@genXcessive @dttpeople 2 Samuel 12:7-8 This statement is often understood to mean that God had given David the wives associated with Saul's royal household. It does not explicitly command David to practice polygamy, but it portrays God as having bestowed those wives to him.

Was the Mormon marriage vow: "til death do us part...... or until Brigham Young finds you attractive"?

‼️Woman travels to Six Flags with a group of 10 and gets mad that her entire group can’t kick other riders off the rides just so they can all ride together. Another sad case of “me and my people are special and deserve privileges everyone else doesn’t get. Fatigued 🫩

@genXcessive Maybe, but we trust many things we don't have personally confirmed proof for. That's why we need the spirit to help us with where to place our faith. Besides, there was plenty of evidence to believe a restoration was needed. Some people just decided to listen when it happened.

Genuine question for my Lutheran friends: Where in scripture do you get the idea that we can resist the calling of the Holy Spirit to salvation? This is something I myself am undecided on. In calvinism, there is a distinction between general calling (the preaching of the gospel, whether the Holy Spirit uses it to call someone to repentanceor not) and effectual calling (when the Holy Spirit uses the preaching of the gospel to work on someone and bring them to repentance). Romans 8:30 seems to imply that all who are called by God are eventually saved and justified. How would you argue against this? Romans 8:29-30 [29] For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; [30] and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

Crazy how the Book of Mormon seems to quote Paul and yet it was written hundreds of years later on another continent by a totally different dude. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

@dttpeople I have no understanding of Brigham’s experiences because I didn’t live them and neither did you. He was clearly commanded something different than what i am. Christ came through the lineage of Bathsheba. Does that make Christ and His teachings tainted then?

@genXcessive @Apologetics941 KJV is what Joseph smith had and used. There is no perfect translation with human language. God speaks in the language his people understand. Joseph understood the KJV language as scripture, so he would reveal more scripture in a similar language.

@genXcessive @Apologetics941 You don’t even understand the translation process of the Book of Mormon. There was no literal word for word translation. It was through the gift and power of God. And if there was a similar idea that was in the og text of the BoM and in the NT, why not use the same wording?

Hello again. We’re currently in Clemson, South Carolina. I’ve decided to come back here to document the final part of our road trip. The main reason I deactivated my account two weeks ago was that things became increasingly toxic. For some people, it’s unfortunately unfathomable that a good story can exist without some kind of hidden agenda behind it. There was even a Reddit group going through my entire account trying to find anything they could use to reveal my identity. I know this was only a small percentage of people, but after a while it became exhausting. During the last two weeks, I received so many kind messages on Instagram, and they really made me realize how many people genuinely enjoyed following the trip. Some people even told me that their grandparents regularly ask them, “What are the Germans up to today?” I think that’s really cool. I decided to continue because I realized that the overwhelming majority of people loved following along. A small group of very loud people shouldn’t be able to ruin something that brought so many others joy. I also want to clear something up, as people who follow me on Instagram already know. I’ve been to the United States before. This is not my first visit, and I’ve never claimed that it was. The last time I was here was in January 2022, when I visited New York and Philadelphia. A lot of people shared my Raising Cane’s post from November 2025 to make it look like I was secretly American. That post wasn’t from the United States, it was from my trip to Saudi Arabia. This is my first time back in the U.S. in more than four years, and apart from Boston, I’d never visited any of the places we’ve been to on this trip before. That’s probably why many people assumed it was our first time in America, because for all of these places, it actually was. And let me tell you, Ohio and Alabama are very different from New York City or Los Angeles. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for reading.

The best part of this is that if you ask a Mormon who created the universe that their god the father subject to, they can't answer. The Mormon god the father (Elohim) did not create the matter or the laws of physics of the universe. Which means the Mormon god the father is not the God of Christianity (Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 44:24) and is not God at all. Mormons worship an exalted man that is subject to the laws of the universe and not divine. Mormons are atheists with extra steps.
Brian Holdsworth@briankeepsworth

If I can conceive of something greater than your God, then he isn’t God. In the case of Mormonism, I can definitely conceive of something greater than their definition of God. 📽️ Watch Below👇
