I never thought I’d see the day when wokeism/Karenism would be so publicly displayed on Staten Island, let alone within the confines of the RC Church- yet hear we are. Staten Island was the last stronghold of Conservatism in a City I used to be proud of growing up in. Maybe I really am a Dinosaur, because I still can’t wrap my pea-brain around the idea that we have elected a Socialist/Communist Mayor who would still defund the NYPD in a hot second. I don’t know Fr Eric, but he just inadvertently gave me at least a sliver of hope that there are still men out there who aren’t the least concerned about upsetting the increasingly delicate emotions of people who once stood for what was right- not what is easy.
