@Shan24859331 @InfinitelyManic @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica Unfortunately the dominant use of "Allah" in the world is actually referring to Satan masquerading as the true Creator God of the Bible. Also, you are cherry picking in John 17 again. Same chapter... Holy Father, keep them in your name... that they may be one, even as we are one.

@InfinitelyManic @genkijeff @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica “Allah” isn’t a different god — it’s just the Arabic word for God. Jesus said: “The Father is the only true God” (John 17:3) and called himself sent. That matches Islamic monotheism — one God, not three.

Muslims do not believe that Jesus is God. It’s that simple. Don’t overcomplicate it.

@genkijeff @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father” can mean representing God — prophets speak for God. But Jesus clearly said: “The Father is greater than I.” He didn’t say “greater in role” — that’s later interpretation. If Jesus is fully God, who is greater than God?

Jesus was clear by applying Daniel 7 to himself. The Jewish religious leaders knew what he was claiming. You Muslims should respect their knowledge of their own religion and not depend on a man and a god as dicy as your prophet and your god to say otherwise.

@Shan24859331 @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica 125 AD is not that much later, and the book itself shows a focus on Peter's mistakes, reinforcing the tradition that he provided the recollections, while a minor writer like John Mark is believable since he is minor. Again, the principle of embarrassment argues for him.

@genkijeff @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica You’re shifting the burden — the one making the resurrection claim must prove it. Gospel authorship comes from later tradition decades later, not verified eyewitness testimony. And dying for a belief proves sincerity, not truth. Where is the independent historical evidence?

@Shan24859331 @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica Embarrassing details related to a beloved figure would be easy to omit unless you were committed to being truthful. They indicate truthfulness. The Gospels are enough because the early church, full of people who were around during Christ's ministry, could verify what was written.

@genkijeff @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica “Embarrassing details” and sincerity don’t prove a miracle — they only show people believed something. People from many religions die for their beliefs. Are they all true? Where is the independent historical evidence for the resurrection outside the Gospels?

@Shan24859331 @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica In response to your question "Where did Jesus clearly say “I am God, worship me”", Jesus knew that if he said the specific words you reference, his work would be cut short. He had work to do that required caution in how he spoke about this. However, many others were clear.

@Shan24859331 @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica Jesus talked to God the Father. Did you not expect the members of the Trinity to talk with each other? No other prophet talked about having glory with the Father before the world existed. This is a unique claim.

@genkijeff @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica Jesus is praying: “Father, glorify me…” — God doesn’t pray to God. Having “glory” or even pre-existence doesn’t make someone God. Jesus prays, asks, and submits — that’s a servant of God, not God. Where did Jesus clearly say: “I am God, worship me”?

@Shan24859331 @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica [2] In Biblical Christianity, the Father is considered greater in role and position during Jesus's earthly ministry. John 14:28 refers to Jesus's human nature and voluntary submission to the Father's mission, rather than a lesser divinity.

@Shan24859331 @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica Stop cherry picking a verse while ignoring the rest... Same chapter... 8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.

@Shan24859331 @mohammed_hijab @OperHealAmerica Jesus knew that he had work to finish given to him by his Father. He therefore did not make explicit statements about his divinity until his trial. At that point, he was ready to die for sinners, as prophesied in Isaiah 53, and therefore he was clear.
