In 2025, we made demonstrable progress in health, agriculture, and education, among others, and laid a firm foundation for our nation’s economic take-off. This was the year Kenyans began to earn the dividends of hard work and deliberate investment. We now have a clear roadmap to make 2026 a defining year in our history, a true turning point from promise to prosperity.
We have chosen to organise our economy around work, production, and exports. We are investing intentionally in infrastructure, energy, and skills so that jobs grow, poverty falls, and the dignity of every Kenyan is ensured. This is the same path successful nations followed to become first world economies. Our National Infrastructure Fund and Sovereign Wealth Fund will drive this mission while safeguarding future generations.
In 2026, we will complete building the Talanta Sports City Complex and the Bomas International Convention Centre, accelerate the tarmacking of 6,000km of roads, including the Rironi-Mau Summit road, begin the Naivasha-Narok-Bomet-Kisumu-Malaba Standard Gauge Railway, launch the Galana Kulalu Dam to irrigate 300,000 acres of land, and commence the construction of a modern world-class airport at JKIA.
Transformation does not require miracles. It needs a clear vision and leadership equal to that vision. Our leadership will be measured by impact, not rhetoric.
