Excited to announce our new publication on glacial lake outburst floods from ice-dammed lakes in @Nature! Check out this great thread by @VAW_glaciology summarizing our results 👇

Honored and excited to give the opening invited lecture by an early career scientist at the @LandAware Workshop tomorrow! (Awesome workshop so far!) I'll be talking about recent work with #landslide inventory data - doi.org/10.1029/2022GL…

For a given monthly rainfall, landslide intensity at the season peak in February is up to ten times higher than at the onset in November, underlining the importance of antecedent seasonal hillslope conditions

We found that landsliding is distinctly seasonal with highest probability in January and intensity in February, lagging the annual precipitation peak by 1-2 months

Exciting news! The first paper from my PhD work - "Seasonal landslide activity lags annual precipitation pattern in the Pacific Northwest" - has been accepted in Geophysical Research Letters! Preprint here: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/share/author/J…

I'm on the hunt for #landslide inventories from cities with daily time stamps or better. Seattle has a great one. Which other cities are recording landslides? Ideas?

5. Invite someone to come give a talk at your seminar. Again, everything is online, so the barriers are low, and people like being invited to give talks - it tells them that you think their work is interesting, and who doesn't like that? (6/6)

4. Give a talk somewhere - everything is online, so you can give a talk at any university anywhere. I gave a talk this week at my undergraduate institution for their geology lunchtime seminar. Way fun! (5/6)
