Stuck in an infinite retry loop.🫨 2.Meta: Tried creating a work acct for meta dev login—it rejected every selfie I submitted, even my recent passport photo! Fine, I’ll login with my existing fb acct but nope~ my very real mobile # can’t get a sms from them either. 😟 3.Google: Opened Chrome—“Verify it’s you.” moment. 😬 4.Slack: Logged into a workspace—“Verify it’s you.” again.🙂‍↕️ 5.Airbnb: Tried to book a vacay place—submit your photo ID proof first.🫠 i get it, platforms need security. But does verifying I’m really me have to be this exhausting? I just want to log in, book something, or check my account without feeling like I’m stuck in a digital interrogation room. Worse- one can fail the verification. How can I prove I’m me, just an honest law abiding user in the digital world. I’m who I say I am. Trust me. Please.

I took a deliberate pause from social media. Outcome: I lost 73 bots and retained 1K+ friends. Helped me realise that it is just a medium and not your whole life. You can still keep building in private. Ultimately that is what matters.
