@AmericanAir No flight. No rebooking. No support. No refund. And now? No luggage. This is one of the worst travel experiences we’ve ever had — and no one at AA is taking ownership.
@AmericanAir After stranding our 4 kids overnight and forcing us to spend $2,100 on @United to get them home, now their luggage is missing too. No bags. No support. No resolution. This just keeps getting worse.
@AmericanAir Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse… no luggage. After sleeping in an airport, spending $2,100 out-of-pocket, and still no refund or help — now all 3 bags are missing. Impressive.
@AmericanAir They were stranded overnight, got no help rebooking, and we had to spend $2,100 on @United to bring them home. Now their luggage is missing too. This is outrageous.
@AmericanAir Timeline so far:
• Diverted flight
• No way home
• Slept in airport
• Paid $2,100 to get home
• Now? No luggage.
Our kids did everything right. AA has done almost nothing right.
@AmericanAir Your reply (Ref# 1-37184809168) said you “look forward to welcoming us back.” You left 4 young travelers stranded overnight with no way home. We spent $2,100 on @United flights to fix it. Still waiting on actual help.
@AmericanAir A generic apology doesn’t fix the fact that 4 young flyers were left to sleep in an airport with no help getting home. We filed a detailed complaint — Ref# 1-37184809168. $2,100 later, we’re still waiting for any resolution.
@AmericanAir Appreciate the “leadership will see this” response (Ref# 1-37184809168), but how about addressing the actual problem — like the $2,100 we spent because your team couldn’t get our kids home?
@AmericanAir Thanks for the copy-paste apology, but your response (Ref# 1-37184809168) didn’t address anything — not the $2,100 we spent getting our kids home, not the lack of rebooking, not even a refund. What now?
@AmericanAir 18yo’s sleeping on the airport floor is unacceptable. You gave them a “choice” of hotel or 6am flight at 2am … not much of a choice for an inexperienced traveler not knowing what to do
@AmericanAir I’m very aware of weather and understand — it’s the lack of communicating how/when to effectively get them HOME that sucks. 14 hours later — no resolution
@AmericanAir, your handling of my kids’ diverted flight was a failure. They were stranded 12+ hours in Houston with no way to get home. We had to rebook with @United out of pocket. $2,100 later, they’re safe — but AA hasn’t helped. Complaint in. Please respond.
Weather happens. But stranding 4 young flyers overnight with no path home and saying “the system will rebook you” is not acceptable. Thank you @United for getting them to SMF — @AmericanAir, we need a refund & reimbursement. Complaint filed.
@AmericanAir failed to get my 4 young travelers home after a weather diversion. Stranded overnight in Houston, no plan, no support. We had to rebook with @United for $2,100. They got them home — AA left them behind. Complaint filed. Please help.
@AmericanAir left my 4 kids stranded overnight after a weather diversion. No help, no rebooking, no luggage, no answers. We had to spend $2,100 with @United just to get them home. Complaint submitted — please step up and make this right.
@AmericanAir After a weather diversion, my kids spent 12+ hours stuck in Houston with no plan from AA, no rebooking to Sacramento, and only vague answers like “the system will rebook you.” We had to spend $2,100 on new flights. Unacceptable. Help.
@AmericanAir This was my kids’ first time flying internationally without a parent. They were stranded overnight in Houston with no guidance, no way home, and no luggage. We had to pay $2,100 to get them back ourselves. Complaint filed — please make this right.
