40-year-old Manuel Neuer has come out of international retirement to play for Germany at the World Cup 🧤🇩🇪

i want to move to germany so bad like im not even kidding i would pack my shit and leave tomorrow

The gap is so large, at the moment. Villa were in a different stratosphere to Freiburg tonight. Forest beating the Portuguese champions and the 2nd best team in Turkey despite how poor they’ve been says it all about the difference in level. If my maths is right Villa have spent over EIGHT times more than Freiburg in the last 3 summer windows.

Official: Tom Bischof has been left out of the World Cup squad

Wird das Spiel wieder zufällig in der Schweiz auf Youtube übertragen?

Tonight was Freiburg's FIRST ever European final. Their manager Julian Schuster is the youngest German manager to take charge of a major European final in 24 YEARS. Freiburg's record signing is just €10.4m too. Despite the result, them reaching the final is huge. Respect. 🇩🇪👏

The "europoor" discourse migrating from terminally online Twitter to the WSJ op-ed is actually a big tell. When a narrative stops being a meme and becomes establishment messaging, it means the establishment needs it. You simply don't reach for "but Europe is poor!" unless your domestic numbers have become very hard to spin for the citizenry. Millennials and Gen Z have no memory of American prosperity - you can't revive the American dream, because they never lived it. And if they ever compare their median household situation to, say, Denmark or Belgium, the math is simply not mathing. Just go with the truth (for once!) and admit the U.S. has been run as an economic extraction zone for a narrow class of people, and the bill is now coming due. Pointing at Europeans won't make average Americans grocery bill or insurance premiums go lower.

Europeans totally shocked to find out they’re poor.
