Most DeFi funnels do not fail at the top. They leak in the middle. Traffic and wallet connects look fine. Activation, repeat usage, and power users tell a different story. This is a simple DeFi growth funnel showing where users drop between awareness, wallet connect, first onchain action, and repeat usage. If your growth feels stuck, the leak is usually not at TOFU.

@getFormo has been essential in understanding our traffic. Datasets are extremely hard to navigate, and Formo has made it quite easy. To explain the value, let me share what we have seen in the data. We launched our app on a hype testnet, and saw an explosion of users and activity. It was exciting to watch and felt like real traction. When we looked at the data, the wallets connecting to our app all had meaningless balances. Even worse, when that chain announced its token allocations had been finalized for earlier community members, we watched that traffic drop by 97% that same week on that chain.
