The worst part of this case? Even after we explained exactly what happened (how the scam works and how Bittr was misused) the victim still blames us.
We understand the frustration of losing money. But bad actors misusing our name shouldn't cost us our reputation.

Someone got scammed out of €225 and the scammer misused our service to do it 😡 A "crypto recovery service" promises to recover "lost funds" and promises a big payout of €13,500 to the victim. --> All you have to do is send a small fee first to unlock it. The victim sends €225. The scammer used our platform to have Bitcoin bought with that transfer and gets it send to his own address. Then he disappears. ⚠️ If someone else is telling you to send money to Bittr and you never set up a purchase with us, stop immediately, it's a scam! ⚠️ It's often elderly people who fall for this. Please be careful.
