Still working on a #templating abstraction and its real journey into different #php Frameworks. Yesterday finished with the main integration into @getlaminas Mezzio. Next framework I am most curious about is @spiralphp which I'm already a fan of because of roadrunner.

Want to prank your friends and family this #Halloween? Then work through this tutorial from @settermjd that shows how to build a Halloween SMS App with PHP. Extra bonus, it uses laminas-inputfilter as part of the mix! twilio.com/blog/build-hal…

I will take this out and write a thread on why I don't enjoy writing #PHP anymore. PHP development nowadays is bumping versions, updating types, and tests. And getting out of cross-dependencies conflicts. 👇

@asgrim I got tired of PHP politics on changes. My NodeJS code for v12 works no matter what in NodeJS v18. They are all major versions but they actually work without breaking compatibility. PHP breaks it in minor releases.

@getlaminas And should you need deeper control on how data is hydrated / extracted, there’s a strategy for that!

Hydrating objects doesn't have to be challenging – if you use laminas-hydrator. 😉 It offers four classes to handle hydration for you: - ArraySerializableHydrator - ClassMethodsHydrator - ObjectPropertyHydrator; and - ReflectionHydrator Here's an example to get you started

Thanks for sharing, Alexander! It's so very heartening to hear that it has been such a positive experience!

@getlaminas @laravelphp Sure, laminas seems to be really flexible. Not yet sure if I did create the services correctly in my Module but currently still learning. Support in Slack channel was awesome, nice community 👍. Next step in my journey will trying out Mezzio which PSR 15 impl. sounds promising.

Another "beyond the telerand" session in my side project. After looking into @laravelphp package development the last weeks, today on next topic - creating @getlaminas modules. Nice experience to see how other #php frameworks work and do service bindings.

Did you know that #laminas simplifies sending HTTP responses? You can send HTML, Text, JSON, and XML responses – even empty responses. Have a look at the examples below that show how.
