Grocer On a Mission

Thanks and congrats to all the supermarket workers getting food on the shelves, unloading trucks, helping customers, and making a difference. Stock clerks, by the way, are interesting and resourceful. They're problem solvers, good at organizing and assembling products and pallets, in good shape moving around all day, some play video games, other watch movies, while others are late bloomers and start after coming out of retirement looking to make a few bucks. They have lots of interests and abilities, which makes them marketable.

@Tim_Denning Agreed! The learning curve is compacting...fast. Humans can learn anything, anywhere, and in less time.

2 weeks to learn a skill is too generous. You can learn 90% of a new skill in 2 days if you're truly obsessed. Leanring a skill is a drug if you give a sh*t. When you understand why you want to learn a new skill at a deep level it produces some of the deepest flow states. In flow, skill acquisition happens 10x faster. Motivation is automated. And you suddenly become resourceful. The part people mess up is they stay in learning mode for too long. Real learning happens through execution. Mastery happens when you reteach the same skill to someone else. Learn a new skill faster. Get the basics sorted then execute. People 10x dumber than you are making more money from the same skill because they have a psychopathic sense of urgency.

the phonetic alphabet is a wildly unappreciated technology for most people it’s just there, taken for granted but fundamental to our well-being if not survival like water, air, electricity. but someone invented it. insane.

WOW! INSANELY FAST WHISPER IS CHANGING HOW THE ZERO-HUMAN COMPANY WILL LEARN! We are now in another universe! In our tests we have just surpassed transcriptions to 180 minutes of audio in 75 seconds with a new mod we discovered by one of the co-CTOs at the company. This means we can consume for signals and AI training from the Audio world: Audio tapes Video tapes Films Live Commercial Radio Live Short Wave Radio Live Ham Radio Live CB Radio Podcasts Internet audio Internet live streaming Internet video And more… The bottleneck was nearly 1 for 1 time transcription: 10 minutes of audio took 10 minutes for a long time. Later on it was closer to 10 minutes of audio took 4 minutes. This changes today! We have now over 600 live radio streams we will transcribe and use for signal as AI training. Look, absolutely no one is doing AI training like this and we are the experts in this field as we have 17 years of live radio transcribed! @thedankoe Take your time, day by day, even though it may take years to hit your mark. When you do, the hurrying up will happen organically putting in the creative work.

It doesn't matter if it takes years. What the fuck else are you going to do? You aren't going to learn, create, experiment, grow, and everything that makes life enjoyable because you have something better to be doing? Your mind is playing tricks on you.

It's inevitable AI will help improve efficiency in grocery sales, buying products, forecasting sales, inventory management, and merchandising.

It depends on the company. For a supermarket I've been informed it helps improve buying accuracy and sales projections. Maybe it was a fluke, but if it continues does that mean humans will lose a job or be able to focus on improving another area. AI could be good for addressing job weaknesses while improving strengths.

The biggest question every company faces right now - “does AI acceleration help me or hurt me?”
