3 goals in last 4 starts for Mount. 84 mins today and 90 mins last week, before that he hadn’t played more than 75 mins since Sep 2023 vs Palace. He was fantastic today. People forget the constant injuries have made it really hard for Mason Mount to get up to full sharpness every time he’s returned, but now he’s finally stayed fit for a consistent period we’re seeing him at his best, and tonight was a big example of that. The intensity and sharpness were the best I’ve seen from him, he's finally stayed fit long enough to get his sharpness back. His movement and pressing have always been great, but his passing on the ball today was so sharp. Goals help with confidence, and he's scoring a lot more now. Good to see Mason Mount back to his best tonight, always been a quality player let down by injuries. Hope he can continue this.

Let’s call it for what it is here, Amad has been shocking so far this season. And that’s because he’s playing at RWB, it’s clear he’s better suited in the attack behind the striker. I feel sorry for him tbh as he’s yet another victim of being played out of his position. Like Luke Shaw and like Bruno Fernandes. I back Amorim but he can’t keep playing players in positions which don’t suit their strengths. We are crying out for a RWB, LCB, and A DM to play in the pivot because the 3 players that attain those positions cant play there. And we wonder why we’re playing shite.

This awful system prevents Amad from passing the ball to Dorgu, who has acres of space ahead and instead forces him to pass it to the stewards. Awful, awful set up. Never seen a worse formation in my life.
