Tutti deridono Zuckerberg per aver dato fuoco a 80 miliardi per "il metaverso". Quasi nessuno si ricorda però che il buon Mark aveva avuto un'altra grande intuizione, morta sul nascere perché i politici si erano arrabbiati tantissimo. Dimenticavo: mentre gli 80 miliardi del metaverse sono degli azionisti e dunque fatti non vostri, le conseguenze dello stop a Libra/Diem sono tutte vostre. Ho letto da qualche suonato vero che: - Siccome le grandi banche d'affari stanno offrendo "contratti short" sul credito privato Allora, come nel 2007-08 - Stanno giocando la partita con entrambe le squadre e faranno un casino -------- Miei fratelli in Cristo: le banche d'affari, tra le loro remunerative attività, hanno anche quella di creare - per certi clienti - contratti "tailored". Se vi presentate con un capitale adeguato, vi costruiscono un prodotto anche per shortare la pizza cotta a legna. C'è qualche fondata preoccupazione per il private credit (e vorrei vedere), ma da qui alle puttanate sui "subprimesss" ce ne passa ancora tanto. Un caro saluto e un buon weekend dal vostro GG

grayscale just filed an S-1 for a spot HYPE ETF (GHYP), structured as a commodity-based trust — the same structure used for BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, etc ETFs. if this S-1 goes effective, it would represent an implicit SEC recognition that HYPE is not a security. each new digital asset that enters through the commodity trust pathway reinforces this pattern: the product structure itself is the regulatory signal the filing is built on the fast-track generic listing standards for “commodity-based trust shares” that the SEC approved in Sept 2025, which eliminated the need for individual 19b-4 review. GHYP would list on Nasdaq under these standards, pushing the commodity trust framework further down the digital asset market cap spectrum. the sponsor’s position that HYPE is not a security is backed by a Davis Polk memo applying Howey/Reves structurally it’s the full institutional template: Delaware statutory trust, grantor trust tax treatment, SIC code 6221 (commodity contracts dealers), Coinbase custody, BNY Mellon as transfer agent/admin, in-kind + cash create/redeem via APs in 10,000-share baskets. filing also contemplates staking, referencing the IRS’s 2025 Revenue Procedure safe harbor for grantor trust vehicles on national exchanges.
