Lt Gen RC Tiwari, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, GOC-in-C Eastern Comd handed over the appointment of Colonel of the Regiment of the Kumaon and Naga Regiments & Kumaon Scouts to Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, SYSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM***, DCOAS (Strat), IHQ of MoD (Army), on 23 Mar 2026 at the Kumaon Regimental Centre, Ranikhet. The ceremony marked transition of regimental leadership, reaffirming enduring traditions, esprit de corps and commitment to excellence. On the occasion, the launch of Modern History of the Kumaon & Naga Regiment book, “Valour Triumphs II” was also carried out. The book highlights the glorious history, gallantry, battle honours and remarkable achievements of the Regiment, capturing the legacy and indomitable spirit of the Regiment through the last 50 years.

So while the cricket rivalry retains the hype and the aura, on the field contests continue to be lopsided in favour of the men in blue … emphatic from them one more time to extend the impressive record against Pakistan in world cups … super special from Ishan Kishan and the bowlers @savvyghai @ghaishar @gauravcsawant
